King Nagarjuna is most recognized for his innovative and experimental cinema styles. When it comes to introducing fresh genre movies to Tollywood, he has always given it his all. This time, he collaborated on the slick action thriller The Ghost with director Praveen Sattaru. On the eve of Dussehra, the movie opened in theaters today. Let's check it out.

Story:

Interpol agent Vikram (Nagarjuna) and his love interest Priya (Sonal Chauhan) both work in Dubai. Even though his career life is going well, one incident concerns Vikram's mental health, and he decides to part ways with Priya. One day, Anu (Gul Panag) calls and expresses concern for her daughter Aditi's safety, asking Vikram to find a solution. This Anu is who? Why did she ask Vikram for assistance? Plus Points:

One of the very rare performers who doesn't hesitate to take on many types of roles is Nagarjuna. In his career, he has demonstrated this several times. The actor has once again displayed his endurance with The Ghost. One of the film's greatest strengths is his portrayal of Vikram, and the seasoned actor carried the picture from beginning to end.

One of the finest action sequences in recent memory was created for this movie, and it is absolutely worth mentioning. They exude style and make us experience goosebumps. Bravo to Nagarjuna as well for pulling off such dangerous acts so convincingly. We are kept captivated to the screens by the abundance of such fantastic action moments in the movie.

Minus Points:

While the action portion of the movie is just so spectacular, the drama and plot aren't that terrific, which lessens the astounding effect of the bouts. The emotional aspect seems forced and unnatural, which makes it difficult for us to have a strong connection to the movie.

Technical Aspects:

The background score by Mark K. Robin is excellent, while the songs by Bharatt-Saurabh are just passably musical. A few action blocks' BGMs pique interest and provide value. Outstanding cinematography was created by Mukesh G. Only a few of the shots are modeled after Hollywood movies, and his work gave this action thriller a ton of depth.

Verdict:

Overall, The Ghost is a mediocre action thriller. Its strength is Nagarjuna's electrifying performance, which is supported by several top-notch battle scenes. On the other hand, its weak antagonist, formulaic plot, and lack of appropriate emotional passages make it a watchable film this weekend. Give this movie a chance if you enjoy watching action movies, but keep your expectations in check.
