Can Addiction Get Useful?

Many people talk about the addiction they fall into with online videos, be it Instagram or youtube. It is very commonly heard that opening Instagram reels mean wasting at least 2 to 3 hours just scrolling up. At very first sight, it seems a vast wastage of time and energy, wastage of data and even harming your eyesight.  Opening Instagram reels just means that you are going to use at least 2 hours, actually very useful hours of your day in just seeing some laughter videos or some strange actions. These 2 hours could have been used a way better if focused actually. Opening reels when you are going to bed means hurting your eye at night resulting in eye burning sensation and dark under-eye circles due to not sleeping for sufficient hours. Also, there are many more harms that can be listed. 

However, my question arises here that reel harmful? Or it's just the game of our minds. There are many reels on Instagram about physical health, yoga, exercise, hobby, self-grooming, dance, motivational quotes, education, hints about earning online, etc. Why not people just search for their interest and learn?  I was an art lover. Drawing and crafts were my hobbies and I used to make many different DIYs, but after getting into developing a career and taking care of the family, I lost my art somewhere. But thanks to these reels, it made me search for the artist in me and now I am using this lockdown to decorate my own house with my handmade stuff. I have started taking care of myself with some light exercises and yoga that I have learned from reels. I also got to know about some good websites where I can read books and even express myself like Candlemonk. Also, there is information about a few good gadgets and home utilities which can make our day-to-day routing easier, without disturbing our budget too much. I actually think that everyone should try this to make their own self happy. Because if you are happy then you can also make your environment and your loved ones happy. 

I tried and converted my addiction into something good and also learned about some mental health tips which made my world a little more comfy and happy. I follow my hobbies and also take care of my surrounding with more efficiency.
