Last Day In The Mountains!

Here I am sitting on the same lawns, cloud flowing literally right in front of me, making it serene as ever. Today is our last day here in Kandaghat, we will be checking out tomorrow morning, and this trip has been nothing but beautiful.

Talking about the events that took place since the last blog, yesterday there was no place to visit so we all got dressed up and went to have kulhad tea in a very small rooftop place which had the most amazing view. We were very excited to have a ride on the toy train (which is very famous in Shimla) but unfortunately could not book it. But not letting it deter us, we got all dolled up and went for tea instead. But anytime with family is a fun time.

At night time, my brother took me to a place far away, which was a bit difficult to reach (As it was nighttime, there were no lights and it was at some distance). But, that place, it was a big open place, all I could see were stars in the night sky and some lights of the houses in the distance. I do not have enough words to note down here what I was feeling at that moment. It seemed so perfect, all was quiet, just stars, moon, and me. What else does a moon lover need?

So today morning, Dad found out about a river and a waterfall nearby and we all got excited about it. We got dressed and on our way to it. The river was in a very steep valley, we managed to find it but were disappointed to see a very narrow, with nearly no water river. But after enquiring a little about it we found our way to the waterfall. The path was a very difficult one, very difficult! It was full of stones, huge rocks, the river flowing at some places, we reached. The very sight of the waterfall was magical and all the efforts felt worth it.

On our way back, we had such heavy lunch that all of us fell asleep as soon as we reached. And after waking up, here I am on the lawns, among the clouds, writing about it and not wanting to come back yet.

This place has treated me so well, I have fallen in love with it. Someone rightly used to tell me that mountains are better, but I always went for beaches. After this trip, I am totally a mountains person.
