The only motive of my last blog was to spread the news of the Delhi Cantt Rape case, and indeed, the news spread. Candlemonk, I knew this platform was the right one to let people know about it. Thanking everyone who actually read it.
I have been following up on the case since the day it happened, through various news channels, newspapers, so many local journalists and activists, and of course our social media. I was really happy to see so many of us actually going up there and spread the news and awareness. Moreover, Delhi's Chief Minister met the girl's parents, ordered a magisterial probe, and announced an ex gratia of ten lakh rupees. The kind of the deceased was also graced by the presence of Congress party leader Rahul Gandhi. Many are calling it a photography stint by the political leaders. Well, tell us about it!
I am intrigued and shocked to see so many bizarre theories coming up about the incident. The reason I am calling it bizarre is the fact that the crematorium priest ‘Radhe Shyam’ when beaten up by the villagers, confirmed his bad deed. What is the point of coming up with theories when the accused had confirmed the accusation?
The first theory that came up is, this could have been a work of the ‘organ trading racket’, to me, this explanation seems very weird but possible. So the second theory that has come up naturally is ‘the caste issue’, this thing had to come up (I even called it another Hathras case). Another theory that is bound to come up in this country is the ‘Hindu Muslim feud theory’.
Let me further elaborate on the last theory, the name of the Hindu priest is coming up as the main accused but one of the other accused happens to be a Muslim, so apparently, this theory had to be made. Hindu Muslim theory is being dragged in a rape case (kind of unnecessarily), anything is possible in India.
So this as it sensitive case could not get any confirmation from the post mortem as the only body part left to examine were the feet of the little girl, hence the doctors could not find out anything.
There is a sense of fear in the people of nearby areas, they are now not letting their girls outside the homes. Covid had already confined us in our homes and now this. Things are bad and out of hand, but let's cling to our ray of hope. This is my last article on this topic, but let me ask again
Who is Responsible?
