This blog is a dedication to my best friends, to the people who have made me a better person, who tolerate and match my level of madness. As friendships day is just around the corner, I HAD to do this. To begin with, I would like to say, I was never very lucky in friendships, some experiences in life had scarred my definition of friendship. But as it happens, when God closes a door he opens many other (better ones).
As I was on the edge of giving up any space in my life for real friends, there she was, in a very similar situation as mine, ready to take my hand and take me on a twirling journey of friendship ‘Pragati’ (Bholu): the one who helped me grow as a better human. She and I were betrayed by the same girl (we were a trio since school and the third girl was using us both and manipulating us), one fine day we decided to leave her behind and start a new journey together. And since then I never felt a need to look back. She is a foodie like me and I knew I found my keeper.
Last year on Diwali, I was just getting ready for pooja when I saw a message popped on my screen, it read ‘Happy Diwali Bandru’ and my heart skipped a beat. ‘Anjali’, my ANJI, the one who owns my heart! I met Anjali on the first day of college in 2015 (during the admission process itself) and you won't believe on that very first day I created a hashtag for us #riyAnjali. But as fate would have it, we were separated due to some bad influences. I used to wonder if I would ever have a chance to meet her again in life. And today I have her, all to myself. My Anji is magical, this girl has transformed me in so many ways and today I would give up anything to be with her. I won't elaborate or you too will fall for her.
Anjali bought with her another bundle of joy ‘Twinkle' (or our Tinkli). If you saw her you would say she is the tiniest psychologist to have existed, but once she opens her mouth then booom! Tinkli was also a friend in college and we lost contact somehow and today I would say she is my counselor/guide/ friend. We have the same level of craziness.
Lastly, I would say I owe a thank you to all the bad experiences that lead me to these three leading ladies of my life. Today we four share a beautiful bond. I don't know where I would have ended up if not for you guys. I just had to appreciate them here today, I just had to. To all three of you: CHEERS TO US!
Also, thank you to the Candlemonk family for showing so much appreciation on the last blog. A big hug to everyone! Wishing everyone a very Warm and Happy Friendship Day!
