With less than 24 hours to go for the world test championship final we all await for the high octane test match between India and New Zealand at  the Rose bowl ,Southampton .To be honest when the world test championship was announced I feared , whether in this T-20 driven impatient generation would there be anyone who cared about something which is going in the background for two years . The only  problem with this format of the game is the world is moving at a rapid pace can this generation which is already running short of time afford to watch a match for five days .

 But at the same time a part of me was excited . Being a very very passionate fan of cricket and test  being regarded as the toughest one   or the most authentic format of the game had an opportunity to engross and fascinate the new generation ,and yes it exactly did the same.

We Indians are obsessed with the game to an extant that it wont be an exaggeration to say that cricket is unofficial national game of India or the subcontinent at large and when it comes to test cricket the format has its own beauty .

I feel test cricket is closest a game can come to real life , it brings forward some real time management lessons which with few alterations can be easily applied in life.For instance you might be batsman batting with number 11 at 91 but you cannot afford to take those singles to reach your personal milestone just because the one on the other end might not last for that long ,so you sacrifice your test match ton for your team .we go through that in life as well .At times we are at crossroads ,and we have to choose between our family and dreams and we go for family .That is exactly how life is , you cannot expect things to always go your way , but you just need to hang on just like when a batsman finds it hard to middle deliveries he just starts to take the ball on his body , meanwhile he hurt his chest , his shoulder but he makes sure he does not gets out .That is what India and New Zealand have managed to do to get to that one ultimate match .

By the end of 2019 ,India was among the top contenders to be in the finals , but New Zealand …..no one anticipated that they would make it to the finals ,but they did and not only that they became the first ones to qualify and managed to be the number one test side in ICC WTC.
