Lemon water contains high levels of citrate. In a 2015 review, citrus fruits, including lemon, were found to increase urinary volume, which can help treat kidney stones. Lack of water in the body is a common cause of kidney stones. You can drink more lemon juice regardless of whether you have kidney stones.
