Mental health/ power is as like muscle strength use more to get more strength. You should utilise in order to improve it. Due to some habits we could even loose our mental health/ power.
You may ask only habits cause a deduction of mental health?
Ofcourse not!! Due to elderly it become deficient & and few more excuses out there!
Here are some ways that you can actually boost your mental health!
1- Good sleep
On an average an adult should sleep at least for 6 - 7 hours a day. Approximately 7 - 8 sleeping hour is crucial for an elderly people. Not getting enough sleep at night may can affect your mental health. Brain needs to rest or shut down for a while to start- up further. So get good sleep avoid staying up till late night.
2 - Eat healthy food
Avoid having junk foods. As we know junk food cause illness and has no use of intake. Eat foods that are highly packed with Proteins, Vitamins, Potassium and Antioxidants such as almonds, brocolli, cauliflower, leafy vegetables, egg etc. These boost up your brain and plays a vital role in brain / mental health improvement. They also helps in brain cell development and growth.
3 - Reading Books
“ No friend is as loyal as book”
Reading is a good habit . We should inbuilt the habit of reading book from our childhood by reading comics, fairy tales and so on. We can improve our vocabulary skill. Reading calms your mind. Boost your brain to focus on it. Reading enhances the brain to work more efficiently .

4 - Focus/ Attention
“ Focus untill the focus is on you”
Attention or being focused in one particular information or thing is the best way to accomplish one's mental health.
Should not distract from ambience.
Stay calm & focus on one thing.
Don't indulge yourself in multiple task at a time.
5 - Establish Routine
“ Make a healthy routine to lead a healthy life."
One should follow the routine to stay up on tract. You can also note down in any dairy or notepad or notebook. Write down your routine from morning till night and follow accordingly.
