What is excitement: Butterflies in the stomach?

In Psychological dictionary the term "excitement" is defined as "an emotional state of enthusiasm, eagerness, and anticipation".

Excitement is an emotion constituted with the feelings of cheerful joy, exhilaration or upheaval. So, we can justify it by saying that the feeling of excitement is a state of emotional distress combined with spontaneity, a sense of wonder in person working in comparison. It gets expressed on our outer and inner physical changes enhancing our emotional being.

There are several dimensions of explaining what excitement is like. Some people define the feeling of excitement as "the fear with known outcome".

The science of excitement is quite simple: As we know, "limbic system is the emotional center of the brain" and "fear is a primitive human emotion which is essential for our survival". Fear is a response to an instinct towards the existence of danger in a particular place or situation. Fear generates the release of stress hormones ( adrenaline and cortisol ) and sends impulses to hypothalamus that helps in controlling our stress producing a fight or flight mode followed by increase in heart rate creating a state of "excitement".

Why we feel cold feet and numbness when we are hesitant?

The condition that makes our feet or other parts of the body to feel cold and numb is commonly known as Raynaud's syndrome, also called Raynaud's phenomenon or Raynaud's disease.

This state of feeling cold and numb sometimes results in the narrowing of arteries in our feet, stopping the normal blood circulation. This may cause our feet to changing colours ( white, blue or red ). As soon as our blood circulation comes into a state of being normal, our feet may "tingle, throb, or swell".

Generally this condition is triggered due to "low temperatures or stress". There are various factors that can be summed up to know the possibilities of cold feet and numbness.

There can be certain possibilities of hypothyroidism in context to "feeling cold".

Primary pulmonary hypertension which causes extensive damage in the arteries can also result in the condition of cold feet and numbness.

The most common causes of coldness are due to "poor blood circulation or nerve damage in our feet".

Sometimes anxiety can also results in cold feet and numbness.

What if…

What if...

What if you are grasped by something irrelevant and completely abstract....!

What if you struggle everyday and get back to where you started....!

What if you discover... that void in your heart is irreplaceable!

What if you are crying like you have lost someone close to you, but actually, the reality is lying somewhere in the universe, too far away from your heart.....!

What if you know what you want but can't even make the first move to get close to it...!

What if you are buried with something known yet unknown, that bursts and comes out to be like, you are in deep shit, when you cry being unconscious....!

What if you are exactly lying in your possibilities where you thought you could be someday....!

What if, that...."every morning will be a new seed of hope, being nourished to let it grow, into a beautiful tree of betterment".... turns out to be the end, masked by your fake optimism....!
