Content:Family is not an important thing. It's everything

Yes indeed! The life of any person starts and ends with family. As a matter of fact, so does the life of animals. It seems having  family and living  together as one is one  of nature's rules.  But why the label 'sanctuary '? The answer lies in  its literal meaning - a place of safety ; a holy place.  Where would anyone  feel safer  than in the  midst of one's  family?   In the safe arms  of father, the soft kisses of a mother, the cuddles  of siblings or later, the caring shoulder of one's  husband  and the lively  laughter of one's  children?

       No matter how  poor a man is if he has a family to return to at the end of the day, he is rich! You are the luckiest, most fortunate  person in the world if you have a  family, big or small.  We rarely   see big joint families these days. With lives getting busier each day,  the modern day scenario mostly teems of nuclear families. It might be  “easier ” to handle, but they are missing out the love, life   and togetherness of joint families.

The social media has had a crucial role in  the  drifting apart of families. With everyone from the father to  the six years old child busy with mobile phones, television and laptop, there is scarcely any quality family time left. They are all lost in their own worlds, a world in which their families have trivial  roles to play.  The dinner  table used to be the meeting ground for every member of a family.  There, all problems were discussed and  all jokes shared. But today, they hardly take their eyes off the mobile or television screens to look at each other. Taking and laughing seems utterly impossible. Once a cartoonist with a vivid sense of imagination, portrayed the picture of a family in the future where a father will be sending online messages to his son, to come downstairs for dinner.The world is   turning into once crazy place.

What can be done to make our familes more alive? The first and foremost thing to do is prayer. The  proverb" A family  that  prays  together, stays together ", is absolutely right. Prayer binds and holds a family together. It is hundred times more powerful than any quality time you spend with your family. It grants a divine  power of staying  close  as a family. It is the ultimate solution to any  problem.
