375 is the bus route number from Yuan ming huan terminal in the Chinese capital Beijing to Xiang Shan, also known as Fragrant hills.

November 14, 1995 At midnight that day, an elderly woman (allegedly a man) and a young man are waiting for the last bus to Route 375. After waiting for a while, the bus came and both of them got into it. The old lady sat in the seat right behind the driver and the young man sat two seats behind. Apart from those two passengers, only the driver and a lady conductor are in the bus. The bus moved forward through the darkness.Nothing can be heard except the sound of the engine. After going a short distance, three figures on the road showed their hands to the bus. The driver stopped the bus. Two people put the hands of the third on their shoulders and got into the bus. The man with his hands on his shoulders was wearing a traditional Chinese costume. His face was not visible to anyone as his head was lying low.

The bus went ahead with them. The old woman on the bus was staring at them from the moment they boarded.
Suddenly the old woman jumped up and started screaming, and the young man who was riding with her started crying saying that her purse had been stolen. But the young man denied this. The old woman was not ready to give up. They asked the bus to stop. The ol woman came out with the young man. She said that she was going to hand him over to the police.
After dropping them off, the bus moved on.

The young man was very worried. He said that he will go to the police station and prove the truth.
The old woman watched the bus until it disappeared from sight, then turned to the young man. The young man was shocked to hear what she said.
In fact, it was a lie she made to get off the bus with him.She escaped with him.

The three people who boarded the bus after them were not really human. The old woman had been watching them ever since they got in.

All three of them had no legs.
As soon as the old woman understood this, she did so.

They went straight to the police station and told these things. But the police thought that both of them were mentally unstable.
The next day shocked everyone with a statement from the company that owned the bus - the last bus that had gone on route 375 the day before had gone missing, including its driver and female conductor.
That means no one has seen that bus after that old woman and young man. Haven't reached the destination yet.
 

After 3 days of police investigation, the bus was found in a lake 100 km away in the Fragrant hills, along with the highly decomposed corpses of the driver, female conductor and a passenger inside.
What is not yet proven in this case –
*The bus did not have enough fuel to run this far
*When the fuel tank of the bus was checked, it was filled with human blood
*The bodies were recovered 48 hours after they went missing. But it was rotting in an even older way. No other chemicals were found in the autopsy.
 

Last bus on route 375 case remains a mystery even today.

In 2022, a tamil movie named ‘Diary’ was released inspired from this story.
