It is a little bit different from your regular life choices. It deals with the possibilities of having new things. Risks can be of anything and in everything. Like, the biggest risk is you could DIE, so? would you stop living?

Leave that boring office job if it sucks and go follow your passion. It's you who has to decide and convince your parents and make them understand. Don't care what other people say. Even if your parents aren't happy still go follow your passion because when they will see you happy and successful they will ultimately be happier. Just remember never forget why you took the risk? and don't lose the path as that will affect your ambition and your image. If you feel tired take a rest but don't quit.

As you grow up, our risk-taking abilities decreases, so its very necessary to channelise your energy at the right time and right age. Though on the contrary, if you are really bold and confident , you can take risk at any age and under any circumstances. 

Only then you'll touch the sky when you take the step of jumping up and risk of falling down or else how will you see the beauty of life. There is nothing in this world which is not risky, it has certain risks associated with it in some or the other manner.
