My first blog in 2022 talks about a very important issue …which I feel is very important for all of us specially now when we are experiencing so much of fear, uncertainty, lack of personal space and emotional turmoil due to continuing fear of pandemic.
Communication forms basis for all our personal, social, professional and emotional interactions. It is very important for us to not only be able to say what we want to but it is equally important to be understood.
Today I will be sharing with you then super easy tips which can help you enhance and improve your own communication.
So let's begin….
Biggest mistake people do is when someone is talking instead of listening to them they are busy in their heads preparing a response…do not do this listen to what other person is saying, people like when they know they are heard …always ask for clarification if you do not understand something. Summarise if you can that way other person knows you are making an effort and it also gives you clarity.
Most often we have so much to say or express as a result at times we just keep repeating the same thing and become vague as a result there is too much needless information.
To communicate well always be to the point use direct and short sentences. Be precise in what you want to say one best way to do this is using ‘I' statements they help you be to the point
HARD is acronym for Honest, Appropriate, Respectful and Direct …

One very effective way to improve your communication is to watch your tone and pitch. Do not be too loud or too soft or harsh. Modulate your voice as per the requirement of your audience and the issue at hand.
It's always better specially in professional communication to take notes this helps you reflect analyse and understand better …
