The World is facing an unexpected situation of Coronavirus. This pandemic has created so many unexpected situations in families. Quarantining children at home in these times is an enormous challenge for moms. Especially, when there is no school for the past 1 year, then moms would have dealt with frustrated, angry, attention seeker, anxious kids. Simultaneously, not losing their minds, mom’s biggest challenge is to not only keep kids occupied but also not to get stressed in their office or housework. Also, the recent second wave of Coronavirus has made mom's a huge challenge to continue keeping quarantine for their kids. With summer vacation fast approaching and knowing it's risky to travel, mom’s work has driven them crazy 24/7.

Knowing this here are a few tips about keeping kids busy indoors.

Playing indoor games:

Playing builds character like free, try-it-out, do-it-yourself for our future needs.

When there is no chance of letting kids play outdoors, then the option of keeping them busy with indoor games will be apt at this moment. If there are two or more kids, then playing among themselves is good. But there are also fights in these times so set some ground rules to play indoors and later when everything went well then rewarding them will make them happy. This will make them stick to the rules.

If there is a single child, then either mom has to play with the kid or other elders in the house.

Encouraging kids to read:

Reading is an independent activity based on their level of proficiency. You can engage kids depending on their ages from choosing many wordless or nearly wordless books to instill a love for books.

Most of the classes have come online so they can learn about activities and school education through this method.

Also, if you live in apartments or individual houses, then you can pool books from the neighborhood kids and create interest in them through competition.

Paint & Art:

Painting and art give children a chance to practice what they are learning.

Paint and art can make kids occupied for a few hours and also it will make them learn teamwork. If it has come out well, then encourage the kids by using it as showpieces. Kids will get interested if they paint their favorite cartoon characters.

Baking and Cooking:

Kids have sweet tooth and so we can take this as an advantage by including them in making their favorites like cake, cupcakes, desserts, chocolates, etc. So, when they get involved, then naturally, they can know the chores at home and help parents with it.

Cooking is essential in a long run. This also makes kids help in preparing ingredients and also helping moms.

Exercises:

Since we quarantine kids for a long time, they feel lazy, and physical exercises have come it nil. So, to ensure that kids are in good shape of body and mind exercises have to be don’t at home with parents. This not only finds time in family bonding but also in keeping the entire family healthy with their meditation and exercises.

Although other things change us drastically, we start and end with family. That’s why the memories we make with our family will always be our universe. So, plan fun and engagement activities with your kids.
