We all know what drastic change we have to undergo because of the Coronavirus that stuck the entire world, leaving the people nothing to spare inspite of the stress.

The universe had to adapt new strategies to survive. Starting from depending more on e-marts for daily essentials, staying at home with no interaction of the 3rd person, fear of going out and contracting the virus during emergencies, adapting work from home norms, etc.

These made people undergo many changes both at home and work, making them wonder where the world will go?

They faced many challenges while adapting to work from the home moment. Companies had to rush their employees to give access to the tools that are needed for the work from home concept. This change was so sudden that employees, as well as employers, had no alternative but to adapt quickly to the need of the hour.

But, after everyone became familiar with the routine, they found out that employees could be constructive and engrossed when not in the office in all cases. One huge triumph moment was when employers got their profit and also when work from home can be made to happen.

Advantages of work from the home concept:

Remote work has a host of benefits, mostly for workers. Some advantages:

Better work-life balance:

All remote works come with flexible timings, so that workers can work at their convenient time, but specifically completing the tasks and getting profits for the company. Another positive aspect is that you can balance your personal and your remote work without disrupting the result.

If you are running some chores, attending online yoga classes in the morning, or playing with kids, or cooking at home, etc. can be a simple task if you can do remote work.

Less Commute stress:

On average, commuting to and from the office per day may take upto 3 to 4 hours with the heavy traffics and signals. Also, this task is leading you to an increase of anxiety and stress, elevated blood sugar, increased stress of depression, higher cholesterol. All these are avoided if remote work is done. Also, you can focus on other priorities outside of work, spending more time with family, getting extra sleep, having time to work out, or eating healthy, which supports your mental and physical health.

Saving money:

People who do remote work can save money through gas, car maintenance, transportation, car parking, professional wardrobe, lunches & snacks that are bought out, which can be ultimately eliminated. These savings can be invested in your personal account.

Not only the employees but employers also can save money because of the remote work. A company can save from overhead, building costs, transport allotment, the progress of operations.

Big companies like Twitter, Shopify, Facebook, etc are saving money up to $30 billion per day by allowing their employees to do remote work.

Positive Environmental impact:

The 4 million people who are working from home during this pandemic have decreased greenhouse gas emissions by keeping about 600,000 cars off the road for an entire year. Because of these, 3 million piles of greenhouse gases are avoided and it saves about $980 million oils.

By avoiding all these air pollutions has reduced. Also, by planting trees like a forest, the impact of air quality is making everyone breathe easier.

Escalated productivity and performance:

Normally when we work from home, it will lead to fewer intrusions, office politics, noises, meetings. Because of the absence of commute work from home, people have more time and fewer distractions that will naturally direct to more productivity.

When we go on the right track, remote work allows employees and employers to directly concentrate only on performance. Sadly, the office atmosphere will lead to partiality and favoritism. It doesn’t mean that coming in early to the office and leaving late is working. We have to check the productivity in those times. You know that there was less productivity.

Also, employers can choose the best employees wherever they are in the world. Freelancers have taken advantage of this situation by connecting to top companies and use the best software in the world.

Employees, while working from home, may not think about quitting their job as it holds utmost importance for their convenience in work, also their productivity, their promotions, their salary hike.

Another important factor to look out for is the employee’s addiction while working from home. Some employees work more without noting the timings. This may lead to friction in their family life and that may affect the work atmosphere.

So, workers have to know the balance between the work and domestic requirements and manage the distractions timings.

Another position to note is that there will be a lack of human contact. When we communicate with others, we will feel involved, but not that aspect will not be there.

To conclude, there is no rule for different working. It is a matter of the contract signed between employees and employers, as long the work is done and they make a profit. Only choosing the option plays a vital role.
