Hi Guys,

Welcome back. If you have read my previous blog it is about self-learning Korean and free resources to learn from. This blog also covers a similar topic. It is about free apps that will add more value once you start learning the language. These free apps will provide information and remind you to practise the language according to your ease. Also, these apps are personally used by me on a regular basis.

Drops

What I like about this app is that we can match pictures with words. Initially, it will be too much to take in but once you get used to it you will find it easy. Each word has a time limit so we have to match the words with their respective pictures within that timer and vice versa. I find the design very soothing. They have streaks every time you complete a certain set of words or sentences. It will also show you the words you have learnt from your previous practice even if you forget you can go back and brush through them from time to time. It doesn't cost you to log in or to create an account. it is free of cost and you can set reminders to notify you to learn new words every day.

Learn Korean

I like how simple and easy to use design it has. It contains various topics that you want to focus on each day. There is greetings, Travel, food and so on. However, you can choose the topic that you want to focus on each time you use the app. This app does not have any time limit as such. you can learn and practise how much every words or sentence you want in a day. Also, it has a translator where you can make your own sentences. After you finish certain content under a topic it will make you take a test where it will ask you questions on what you have learnt. In both languages which are Korean and your native language.

Kokoa

I mainly use this app to prepare myself for TOPIK. As many of you know TOPIK is a Korean efficiency exam just like IELTS and TOEFL. This app might help people who are interested to take TOPIK. For people who are not interested in taking up this exam then this app may not be that useful. But still, it is not a bad idea to use the app.

I hope these apps will help you the way it has helped me. To know such more tips and resources make sure to follow me. see you in the next blog.

Thank you, everyone.
