Golden Hour: Nature's Perfect Light

The period of the day just before the sun sets is generally called the “Golden Hour” or the “Magic Hour”.
The golden hour, with its fleeting and magical quality, serves as a poignant reminder of the beauty in impermanence. In our fast-paced lives, moments like these invite us to pause, reflect, and appreciate our world's transient yet profound beauty.

The sunlight today is a beautiful shade of red, softer and warmer than usual. As I sit here, holding my cup of coffee and listening to music, I feel lost in my thoughts. It's one of those quiet moments where everything feels calm and peaceful. The soft, red light makes everything look magical, turning an ordinary afternoon into something special.

These simple moments, like sipping coffee and enjoying the sunlight, bring so much joy. They remind us to appreciate the little things in life. The light of the golden hour, with its gentle touch, shows us how quickly time passes and how important it is to find beauty in everyday moments.

Inspired by this lovely scene, I wanted to capture it in words. I decided to write a poem that reflects the warmth and grace of this moment, a poem that reminds us of the changes and new beginnings we experience every day. Here is my attempt to turn this beautiful, fleeting time into a piece of poetry, a small reminder of the joy we can find in the ordinary.

In the glow of the sun's sweet embrace,
Where worries fade without a trace,
I relax in light, pure and bright,
Lost in the golden hour's flight.

At Eve's gentle 5 or 6,
On the balcony, with coffee, I seize,
Each sip, a hug, a moment so dear,
In the golden hour, no worries near.

Hand-reaching camera, to capture 'me',
In life's sweet moments, I feel so free,
Reflecting on the journey far,
Through good and bad, a guiding star.

As coffee's warmth begins to wane(disappear),
A sigh escapes, a soft refrain(holding back),
As darkness falls and day takes flight,
With longing eyes, I say goodnight.

Yet in my heart, a hopeful gleam(small light),
For dawn shall break, with sun's sweet beam,
And in that hour, once more I'll find,
The golden light, to soothe my mind.
As the day transitions into night, let’s carry the warmth of this magical time in our hearts, finding inspiration in every sunset.
