After 6 years of my full time professional career, I have understood, that, a female should be always financially Independent. No matter, from how rich or how poor background she is coming from or what her father does or her husband does. She should be capable of paying her own bill, manage her own finances, investments and secure her future and be financially strong. Once, while surfing the internet, I came across a video of Priyanka Chopra where was stressing on this matter of financial Independence of women. I really appreciate those words of hers. 

In this duration, I experienced a lot of my friends who have got married and asked to compromise their career at some ways i.e. by changing the location of the job or changing the preferred profile or leaving the job. Some have been asked to sacrifice their job just to prove the society that they are good mothers, and a good mother should always take care of their child.

In India, the society is patriarchal. If men does not help the women in their household work or they do not manage to cook, those are not stigmas. Those are completely okay. But if a woman does not know how to cook or do household chores or they do not want to sacrifice their career for the sake of marriage and child that is a big no no in this society.

When there is a situation that husband or wife someone has to take care of the house or the family or the child, always the society expects that the woman should come forward and take the responsibility of taking care of the whole thing except her own career or growth.

Also, if a woman chooses not to marry to avoid these social difficulties, then also society will start judging him for being single and happy. This is really an irony that a decision of a woman to come out of a toxic relationship, that also get criticized in the societal norms that the girl might have not tried at best. 

But, the bright side is, though the society remains the same, the women of this society is changing. now a days we are less bothered by these criticism and we moved on in our life. We have chosen our freedom, our well being and mental peace. After all, at the end of day, if I am happy then everything will be managed.
