Continued from Part II
Sorry, it's getting this long but I cannot fit all of it in just one. It'll be way too long.
Preparing Yourself
What does that even mean?
The meaning is quite straight forward but it digs deep. Preparing means being ready for something, in this case it's about life in general. How do you win in life? By preparing for whatever life throws at you.
Now it is not possible to be prepared for everything or take into consideration everything that is possible. The trick is to be quick in thinking and finding an appropriate resolution solution as quickly as possible, that's what being prepared is.
Being proactive is the key here rather than being reactive. Usually people start preparing when they see the opportunity. You need to be ready for whenever an opportunity strikes because most of the times, it just comes and goes and people don't even realize it. Remember “if you stay ready, you don't have to get ready”. And if you are ready, you won't miss out on your opportunities, you'll grab them, you'll win them, you'll win the moment. And moment by moment you will win in your life.
To summarize:
Have a routine, screw it have multiple routines, whatever suits you, whichever lifestyle suits you. Work on it, follow it (STRICTLY), if you lag behind, make up for it by working twice as hard, if you excel in something, treat yourself (You deserve it). Don't be too hard on yourself either or you might burn yourself out, and that's not good. Take proper breaks, do things that you love and enjoy to rejuvenate yourself and your mind. Have a proper sleep schedule (VERY IMPORTANT). And most importantly, take care of your body and mind. Your body is your treasure, take utmost care of it because you don't know the value of it until you have to pay for what your body used to do for free. Then and only then you'll know how previous your body is (For perspective, a single session of hemodialysis cost Rs 1200-1600, and needs to be done thrice a week, 12 times a month and that roughly estimates to Rs 14,400. Or you can drink enough water and pee normally, choice is yours).
Your mind is the instrument that controls it all, keep it working, keep it functioning. Never let go of any of your good habit(s) and keep hustling.
The key is to be prepared, consistency in following your routine and keeping the hope alive.
Keep dreaming, keep believing and as Steve Jobs used to say “Stay hungry, stay foolish”
Godspeed!
