No the title ain't a clickbait and this blog might have a very deep philosophical touch so do read it slowly, nicely and feel free to read it multiple times in case you don't get it in the first time.
So “Life” in general is kind of a race if you will, a hurdle race to be more precise. The track is different for everybody, so is the length, so are the hurdles. For some it might be slightly easier and for others, not so much. The destination is also different for everybody. Point is, it's not the same for everybody (remember this one, I'll come back to it in later).
Firstly, in case you're thinking that I'll do exactly what a successful person did and you'll get the same results, maybe it's time to ditch that thought. It doesn't work that way.
Secondly, if you're thinking that your life is hard or your struggles are tougher than others, it probably is true. Having said that, it is also true that your life and your struggles are easier than many others. There is a saying that goes like “Saying someone can't be sad because someone else may have it worse is like saying someone can't be happy because someone else may have it better.” There always is another perspective to look into things. So yes, your life is probably harder than many but it also is easier than many more. No reason in being disappointed or sad worrying about the hardships you are facing. Truth is, you're most probably facing a lot less hardships than someone a lot less privileged than you. So again, no point in being sad, instead make the most of what you've got. Change the narrative from ‘struggling’ to ‘winning’. Change your perspective from ‘hardships’ to ‘challenges’, and see how your life seems much easier.
Thirdly, no you won't just get opportunities out of the blue, you'll have to fight for them, earn them. Contrary to what we've been told that there will be plenty of opportunities, sadly it's not that. You have to make opportunities, they won't be presented to you nicely decorated on a plate like your delicious Sunday dinner. Life ain't that easy irrespective of your privilege level. YOU HAVE TO EARN YOUR OPPORTUNITIES!!
