1. Wake-Up Early

There are several axioms about the advantages of waking up early, and they've to stay common for a reason: getting up early is a powerful path to success. Millionaires do not sleep in because they have so much to do every day.

Before writing Rich Habits: The Daily Success Habits of Wealthy Individuals, author Thomas Corley spent five years observing the lives and habits of rich and poor people. According to Corley, 47 % of rich people get up three hours before work, while only 3% of poor people do.

2. Have a Primary Goal

Even if it seems outrageous or unattainable, wealthy people pick a primary life goal and concentrate on it with laser-like precision.

This primary goal guides everything they do, every decision they make, and every move they make.

This type of intense concentration is what allows the rich to do things that most can only dream about. According to Corley, rich people spend 80 percent of their time focusing on a single target, while poor people spend just 12 percent of their time doing so.

3. Write Down Goals

Setting goals is important for achieving wealth, but if it were the only criterion, virtually everyone would be wealthy. Setting realistic targets and writing them down is a winning practice for the rich.

Of course, broad desires, such as a desire to be wealthy, are not priorities. Setting specific goals entails making a concrete plan, such as receiving X sum in Y time through Z activities.

Successful targets are actionable, and the affluent are goal-setters who are deliberate and committed. According to Corley, 62 percent of affluent people work on their aspirations every day, compared to just 6% of poor people, and 67 percent of the wealthy write down their goals.

4. Avoid procrastination

Procrastination degrades productivity, leads to disgruntled employees, consumers, or clients, and destroys other non-business relationships, according to successful people.

Here are five techniques to help you avoid procrastination:

  •  Make a regular "to-do" list. These are the day-to-day objectives. Every day, you should complete 70% or more of your "to-do" things.
  • Make a “daily five” list. These activities represent the essential elements that will assist you in achieving a major purpose or goal.
  • Create time limits and communicate them. There's nothing wrong with completing a task ahead of schedule.
  • Make sure you have accountability partners. These are the individuals you join forces with to achieve a major objective.
  • Keep in touch with them at least once a week, and make sure they hold you accountable.
  • Make a statement like, "I'm going to do it right now." This is a method of self-nagging. Repeat the phrase "do it now" before you are ready to start a job or project.

 5. Know your main purpose

It's the last of the Rich Habits, but it may be the most crucial. Those who follow a dream or a primary goal in life are by far the richest and happiest of us all.

They are able to devote more hours per day to their purpose because they enjoy what they do for a living.

It's likely that if you're not making enough money in your career, it's because you're doing something you don't like.

You've found your main goal when you can make a decent living doing something you love.
