Hey Everyone!!!

Today is a new week. A New morning and New start. I would like to start this week with a topic which brings water to our mouth. Today, I'm going to introduce you with different mouth watering dishes of Maharashtra.

Maharashtra is diverse in every aspects. Every style of food whether it's north Indian, south Indian, Chinese, Italian, Mexican has a sense of “The Tadka" of Maharashtra in it.

Maharashtrian Dishes are way awesome than every dishes. As a Maharashtrian I may feel it but it's my promise, try modak once and you will definitely fall in love with it.

Modak can be steam, fried or can be in a form of sweet. My favorite is steam modak. They are stuffed with coconut and jaggery. That Juicy modak feels like heaven. They are God Ganesh's Fav too. My mom usually make them for ‘Ganesh Chaturthi’.

Another famous Maharashtrian dish is “Puranpoli”. It's a sweet dish made on the occasion of Holi. It is a plain wheat flour roti which is stuffed with chana dal and jaggery. And the little flavor of cardamom takes it too another level. People prefer to put ghee on the top.

Shrikhand Puri" is a typically dish of Maharashtra. When it's a festival, every Maharashtrian wants this to be in his plate. In Pune, 'Chitale' brand is famous to make ‘Shrikhand’. It also has many flavors, like mango, cardamom, strawberry, etc.

It's been too sweet right? It's time to turn towards the spices of Maharashtra.

Pavbhaji on the beach. Vadapav in rains. Shevpuri, Masalapuri and Panipuri they are the lifelines of Mumbai. The Bombay Sandwich itself has the name of the city.

Being a Maharashtrian, every Sunday is meant to eat Poha. Poha is also made at the time when a girl and boy are going to meet for their wedding. It shows that if Poha is made prefect than the girl has all the qualities of being a perfect life partner.

Misal Pav

Last but not the least, ‘Misal Pav’. The spices in it will take you to another world. It is way healthy with all the pulses in it. And at the same time, it spoils us too with excess amount of oil. It's the special dish of Kolhapur.

Not only this, Maharashtra has many gems like these. The above mentioned dishes are only the breakfast or the side dishes. I have not even mentioned about the main Lunch and dinner. If You want to know more about them,  Let me know in the comment section.

And if you have not tried this dishes yet, what are you waiting for? Try them and tell me whether you liked it or not.
