In today's world, where social media reigns supreme, every piece of information becomes misinformation thanks to a famous personality who lacks even basic knowledge of many subjects and begins to speak on them.

Let me tell you a story about a father and a son.

One day, the son returned home from high school and began screaming, "Hey dad, I'm going to tell you something chaotically incredible, that the Earth is not round, but a flat planet."

Dad was like, "Wait, what?" How could a flat planet exist? This isn't a full-fledged knowledge you're getting son; you're definitely being misled, he added.

But his son said, "No, Dad, trust me, it's Found out!" “The Earth is actually flat.”

Father was aware that his son was receiving inaccurate information, and he has a right to know the appropriate facts so that he does not pass this misleading data on to others and allows the wrong thing to rule the people.

So, the father decided, 'All right! I'm going to tell you a story about how and when our scientists discovered that our planet is round.'

His father went on, "Did you know that when it was discovered that the Earth is round?"

‘No?' said the son.

The Greek Philosophers established that the Earth is round in the 3rd century BC, but it was not widely accepted by the people until the 15th century.

‘And how did they find out?' inquired son.

In 240 BC, the Greek mathematician and geographer Eratosthenes made the first scientific estimates of the Earth's circumference.

On the 21st of June that year, in a town called Syene, he noticed the reflection of the Sun in a deep well, indicating that it was directly overhead.

However, at noon on the same day, the angle of the Sun was about 7 degrees – or one-50th of a circle – in Alexandria, about 800 kilometers away and almost directly north of Syene.

If the Earth were truly flat, the angle would be the same in both locations.

Do you understand what I mean? It is very easy to pass on incorrect information or grasp incorrect information, but it is much more difficult to allow the truth to breathe in the air of lies.

Do not put your trust in these so-called famous people because they are not geniuses in these fields of study, and what is the point of academics? Teachers or professors there study all hours of the day and night to provide accurate information, and then these people come and claim to be the right ones. No, social media has become the most deceptive platform in this generation.

Make an informed decision! And, yes, it has long been known that the Earth is round and will always be round.
