According to geography, an area that receives very little rainfall is called a desert. Usually 250 mm per year. I am. Areas that receive less than 50% rainfall are called deserts. One-fifth of the Earth's land area is desert. Deserts are dry land areas. Here it is very hot during the day and very cold at night. Deserts are not suitable for human habitation.
Deserts are geographical areas where rainfall exceeds the available rainfall or other water sources. Deserts cannot be defined by rainfall alone. This is influenced by room temperature and humidity.

Deserts are sometimes divided into cold deserts and hot deserts. Cold deserts are covered in frost. Beverly Max in 1961 classified deserts based on rainfall. The currently recognized distinction is that of Yaden into arid zone and semiarid zone. Arid deserts experience at least 12 months of precipitation and less than 250 mm (10 in). Rainfall in semiarid deserts ranges from 250–500 mm (10–20 in).
About one-third (33%) of Earth's land area is deserts. The day-night temperature difference is greater in hot deserts. Their winter-summer temperature difference is also high. Summer temperatures in hot deserts rise to 45 °C/113 °F while winter temperatures drop to 0 °C/32 °F or lower. Due to low humidity here, the area around it is heated rapidly by the sun during the day and cools down rapidly at night. Hence the day-night temperature difference is high here.
Although the climate of deserts is not suitable for plants, the biodiversity of deserts is actually high. The plants that live here have adapted to reduce biodiversity. Plants such as algae can grow well here (except Atacama, Antarctica). Their root systems are developed to distribute the scarce water properly.
Animals
Animals, like plants, are well adapted to desert environments. A good example of this is the camel called the desert ship.

A rare downpour in the Gobi desert
The Atacama Desert has been identified as the driest place on Earth. Apart from this, there is little rain in other deserts. At times even torrential rains can occur here and cause flash floods. To bring out the minerals and its energy in the deserts, man has adapted to live there . Deserts thus have an extensive literature in human culture.
Man has lived in the desert for centuries. The Kalahari Desert tribes, Australian tribes, North American tribes and many other ethnic groups live in the desert. They improved their ability to track animals, make weapons to hunt them, search for water, sort edibles and meet the basic needs of daily life. These actions and plans spread among them by word of mouth.
