Karna is one of the central characters in the Hindu epic Mahabharata. He is the first-born son of Kunti, and thus the half-brother of the Pandavas, and the eldest of them.
Although Duryodhana of the Kauravas calls him king of Anga, his role in legend goes far beyond that of a king. He fought for the Kauravas in the great battle of Kurukshetra. Thus, the name Karna (and many other spellings) is a common name among Indians.
Princess Kunti took care of the sage Durvasa for a whole year, when he was a guest at her father's palace. The sage was pleased with her service and granted her a boon, by which she could invoke any god of her choice and give birth to a child in his image.
Not sure if the benefit was actually bestowed, Kunti, while still unmarried, decided to test the benefit and called Surya the Sun God.
Bound by the power of the spell, Surya gave her a son as radiant and strong as her father, despite not wanting children (just wanting to test the strength). Thanks to his divine power, Kunti kept his virginity. Thus, Karna was born. Surya presents Karna with a suit of armor ('Kavacha') and a pair of earrings ('Kundala') dipped in Amrit, which have been with him since birth.
Not wanting to face the world as a single mother, Kunti abandoned Karna, floating him in a box in the river.
Child Karna entered the river and was picked up by King Dhritarashtra's charioteer, Adhiratha, a sudra. Karna was raised as their son by him and his wife Radha (not Radha who was Lord Krishna's consort of Mathura) and was named Vasusena (born rich), due to his natural armor and earrings. Teacher.
They knew something about his parentage from the jewelry he was found in and never hid the fact that he was not their biological child. He is also known as Radheya due to his mother's name Radha.
The relationship between Karna and her host family is one of pure love, respect and affection despite not being related by blood.
Adhiratha was exalted by Karna before all kinds of warriors, and Karna lovingly fulfilled his duty as a son and brother to his foster family, even though his enthronement was King of Anga and the final revelation of his truth.karna is a most favourite character in mahabartham.he is a legend in the epic mahabaratham
