Judicial System Of India The Importance Of Rule Of Law

The Indian constitution lays down a detailed procedure by which justice is to be given to all its citizens. The judicial system in India includes a three-tiered structure. At the lowest end are the district-level civil and session courts. All such people accused of crime are first tried in these courts. If convicted, a person can appeal against the lower court's decision to the High Court. There is usually one High Court for each state of India. At the top is the Supreme Court of India, which is the highest court of the land. All appeals against High Court decisions and also cases related to violation of the fundamental rights of citizens are heard by the Supreme Court

The Importance of Rule of law.

The Importance of Rule of Law The Rule of law means that the Law of the land is supreme and no person is above i however high in status or powerful he might be. It also means that law does no discriminate between people on the basic of their status, sex, caste, religion, domicile education or wealth. This makes every citizen equal before the law in all matters. Th Rule of Law is thus a guarantee to every citizen that he has equal rights and he canno be punished by anyone except the law, through proper legal and judicial procedure. The

Rule of Law, hence, protects every citizen

Main role of Mahatma Gandhi in formation of our judiciary.

Mahatma Gandhi and national freedom Movement

Mahatma Gandhi is not the name of flesh and bones only as any other ordinary man. It was, in fact, a God-gifted spirit which was charged to struggle against social evils. He Was a teacher, A Doctor, A lawyer, A social reformer, A scholar, A freedom fighter, and above all, an ideal human being.

His contribution in the cause of Indian National Freedom Movement is beyond words. He entered the Indian politics in 1915 and conducted satyagrah as in Champaran, Kheda and Ahmedabad successfully. After the tragedy of Jalianwala Bagh tragedy, he planned the non-co-operation movement and Khadi movement. These movements shook the roots of British Government and united all Indians. Gandhiji formed the base and schemes for freedom and motivated the

indian

people to achieve it.
