This modern fable is based on the poetic belief that Jacobin cuckoos live only on raindrops. The baby cuckoo does not want to follow the family tradition. It is too thirsty to care for the tradition.In spite of his mother's pleading, the baby cuckoo proceeds to go the pond. on the way something happens that changes his mind, what must have possibly happened to change his mind? Lets unreveal that together….
Back in time, in the midst of a beautiful forest, which was located in the lap of the mountain top and surrounded by a magnificent river flowing. The sound of the river made the forest feel like heaven in disguise where a family of Jacobin cuckoos lived. The Jacobin cuckoos only drank the water which falls from the sky, that is to say, pure rain water. Other than that they never drank any other means of water. This was their ethics which the whole community followed whole- heartedly. There was a young one of the Jacobin cuckoos. Once he got very much troubled by thirst, he goes to his mother and says,” Mother, I am thirsty. I wish to drink water. Now the water of the cloud is not available. So being troubled by the thirst, I'm going to the lake to drink water.”
Mother says,” Child, but we drink only the cloud's water. We do not drink the water of the lake. This is the ethics of our family so you cannot drink the water of the lake.”
The young one was a child and did not want to listen to those theoretical lectures given by his mother. He kept on insisting. The young one of the Jacobin cuckoo says,” Mother, I am very thirsty. Now I do not see the clouds in the sky. I do not know when the clouds will shower and when I will be able to drink the water from the clouds. So being afflicted by thirst I am going to the lake to drink water.” The young one did not had much faith that the clouds would shower and he would be able to quench his thirst.
Mother knew that it was her responsibility that if her child is going on the wrong path then to guide the child so he does not get on the wrong path and get him/her on the right path. So considering this the mother of the young one again advises the young Jacobin cuckoo,” Child, this is not our family ethics. The family ethics has to be preserved. So you would better not drink the water of the lake. You should bear with the thirst and wait for the cloud to shower. You ought to trust and look forward to the clouds to shower. God will surely be merciful to us. ”
