One day Birbal went on a journey through the jungle on government business. On the way, evening fell and night came. At once deciding that he would stay somewhere today and start his journey tomorrow morning, Birpal wandered around looking for a place to stay. Then a place like an inn came into view. Thinking that it was his king's inn, Birpal went there and saw that there were no guards and no servants. However, food was ready and a room was also ready for rest.
Thinking that we can use this inn under Akbar's personality today, Birbal had a good meal and slept in the rest room.
In reality it is a palace of rest where the prince of the neighboring country rests after hunting. After some time, the prince of the neighboring country arrived there and found someone having eaten his food and lying amused in his resting-room.
Enraged, he knocked and woke up Birbal who was sound asleep. How arrogant you must be, king, you are sleeping on my bed after eating my food, what do you think is this noise, he said angrily.
Birpal realized his mistake in a minute and thought wisely. The king said that this may be your palace of rest, but still it is not wrong to call it an inn.
What is this, my palace of rest, is it an inn for you? He questioned that on what basis did you call it an inn? If an inn means one person comes today and another person comes the next day, is this palace like that?
Sir Birbal patiently replied that you are here today. Some time ago your father may have used this palace and before that your father used this palace of rest.
May be used. After some time Birpal asked if it is true that your son can use this palace for retirement.
Knowing the truth of what he said, the king remained silent.
And continued Birbal is therefore not wrong in saying that it is an inn. He also said that all the inns of Emperor Akbar were like this, and the travelers were given high-quality food and a better room to rest, so he thought it was an inn and apologized to the king.
Hearing this descriptive answer, it occurred to the prince of the neighboring country that he could not be an ordinary person, realizing that someone who could speak so clearly in front of a king must be a very important person and asked who you are. He said that he was Birbal and that he was an advisor in Akbar's court.
As the fame of Birbal and Akbar was known all over the world, the king of the neighboring country bowed to him saying that he was very happy to meet Birbal in person and that he was very happy to have such a conversation with the world famous Birbal.
