Munnar is a beautiful and mind blowing hill station situated in Idukki. It is a breathtakingly beautiful place and the heaven of peace. Also the most tourist visiting place in kerala. Its the height of about 6000 ft above from the sea level. Munnar got that name from its location at the confluence of three rivers named Muthirapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala Rivers.'Moonu' means 'three' and 'Aru' means 'river'. There are many awsome places to visit and many things to do in this place. Thats why this will be the best destination for tourists in kerala.

The place is famous in blooming of the most beautiful flower in the world named 'Neelakurinji'. The flower only blooms once in every 12 years. In 2006, the place witnessed the crowd of both domestic and international tourist to see the magical and gorgeous flowers. Now we have to wait till 2018, to watch the same crowd,to see the blooming of the gorgeous flowers after long 12 years. Eravikulam National Park and the Nilgiri Tahr is the icon of the tourism in the place.

Munnar is such a beautiful place in Kerala,Each and Everything here will makes us excited. The hills,mist,valleys,streams,flowers,waterfalls, tea plantations, flora and fauna. Its a beautiful tea town in Idukki. Easily accessible from Kochi and Coimbatore.

Anamudi-The highest peak in South India is situated here. Trekking to this peak will makes us highly energetic. When we reach the top of the peak,we can feel that we are standing very close to the sky and we can touch the sky. The lovely Devikulam Lake,Kolukkumalai (the highest tea plantation in the country),the waterfalls like Lakkom, Attukal, Nyayamakad, Chinnakkal, Kuthumkal, Cheeyapara, Valara and Thoovanam,the 'cattle village' or Mattupetty etc makes Munnar very gorgeous and magical.

September to May are the best months to visit the place. Summers are a little warm, But we can visit during this season. This will be the place you would love to visit and never wish to leave. So welcome to explore Munnar to make your holidays awsome.
