“The narrow mind eventually becomes so small that it allows you to go nowhere”.

Sometimes I just think we are practically living in the 21st century but deep down  our minds are stuck in the past century.

Even now in some places In India people are rigid about their religion and their beliefs, it's surprising that people don't wanna change their mentality and face the reality. They still treat women as a liability instead of an asset. A developed Nation is not reflected by the number of Skyscrapers, infrastructure development or by the number of cars in a city, it reflected by the mindset of the people, how liberally they think and act. For a country to be developed and achieve its full potential , it should be powered by all the genders and all the people in the country without discrimination. The citizens of India  are still stuck in medieval age books and ideologies. They do not recognise the talent and the significance of a woman , and her contributions to building a nation. They are stuck in the past.They still don't want to encourage girls to be independent and have a life of their own, they are expected to just serve the men in her life.  A few years ago in the rural areas , whenever a girl is born , she is killed before she can even grow up and lead a life and as to why , just because she is a girl and the people believe that a boy will continue the family and a girl is just a burden. If a girl is allowed to live after all this  , she is denied basic education, freedom and then married off to a random person at a very young age and then she is forced if not made to have a baby. Once this is over , her whole life becomes about her husband and her kid and thats the end until she dies. Women are not respected and appreciated for her deeds , its just expected out of her, which is not fair to her and not right .Women are not given basic rights and are discriminated everywhere

They dont get equal pay , equal opportunites and the same respect as men get.They are not ready to accept that women can grow and can achieve something.They are still persistent with the old sati system and the one where the wife worships her husband and looks after the house and is not allowed to do anything else.

They have to accept that women are as capable as men if not more in ever aspect and they deserve to live as they wish , without being looked down by the society or being judged for their choices.A women should be able to choose her career. what she wears and what she wants for herself. We can only hope that in time , that our country learns to treat women as they should be treated and respected..The narrow mindness has got to go , otherwise we as a country will not achieve our full potential, because to achieve our full potential , we need the women of our country.
