(Daniel Radcliffe):But maybe everyone is a little bit ugly. Yeah, maybe we're all just ugly, dying sacks of $hit and maybe all it'll take is one person to just be okay with that.

Hello readers!!!

In this blog, I am about to give my reviews on the movie named, Swiss Army Man, leading Paul Dano as Hank, Daniel Radcliffe as Manny (our beloved Harry Potter) and Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Sarah, directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Schrinert.

The story is about a man, Hank who tried to attempt suicide on an island after losing all the hopes to live. He was having none to be called his true family, or love. He ran away from his place and came across an island and when he ran out of all essentials (food and water), he decided to attempt suicide but then he saw a dead body laying on the ground. It was the corpse of a man, named Manny. He was dead, truly, but then the story made a turn and he started talking, asking various questions related to life, living. He remembered nothing about himself, even didn't know, what life is!! He wasn't able to move, didn't drink and eat, like a person in coma but his mouth worked (he slowly whispered what he wanted to say).

Then, Hank befriended the dead body and started telling him about life, love, etc. It was funny to watch a man trying to convince a corpse that life is worth living who was few hours ago trying to attempt suicide because nobody loved him. He had even left all this, love, family, (was ready to leave this life also).

It was a comedy genre movie with a deep message related to life.

Also, the movie tells all the possible ways of saving your life with the help of a corpse (Lmao!!!). Hank used Manny like a water jet to run away from that island (Yes, you read it correct). He stored water in him , used his tough legs and hands to cut down trees for fire ,shot wild animals. He carried him on his back all across the way to reach his place and meet Sarah whom Hank loved but was engaged to someone else (who didn't even know him as she had never met him, so many twists and turns).

He talked with Manny, converted the forest area like cities just to make him remember his old life, explained what society is like.

The film was very different. I haven't watched such kind of movie before. It was truly new and amazing one. I liked it.

Some quotes and dialogues that I loved are written here( the last one is the best, I guess all girls will agree), do check them all.

  • We're gonna die. That's a thought. Everybody dies. I'm sorry if this made me weird or you don't understand, but I wish I was dead again.(Daniel Radcliffe)
  • You are broken and empty and dirty and smelly and useless and old. You're like a trash, right?(Daniel Radcliffe)
  • Yeah it's always the song that you hate that gets stuck in your head.(Paul Dano)
  • I mean, before the internet every girl was a lot more special.(Paul Dano)

It is a nice movie, if you want something different to watch this weekend, surely it can be a good choice.

Thank you for reading.
