Hello readers!!!
While I was sitting at a random corner in my room, I came across a familiar smell. It was neither sweet nor fishy. It wasn't the kind of odour I love to smell but it took me to the time when I was having a heavy metal box which used to belong to my grandmother and I got it from my grandfather after requesting him several times during my childhood days.
The box was little bit bigger in size and indeed heavy to be hold by a 10 years old, skinny kid (me!). It was rectangular in shape and used to open from the upper part. That part used to get divided into two equal halves from the middle while opening and then the partitions used to fell freely in the air when I used to arrange my things in it, and there were two handles on each side to hold it through hands. The box was styled very differently, indeed, the only reason to charm my eyes!
It was very old, and hence it had an unfamiliar odour which wasn't so bad but for me that smell used to suck my nose but as it used to belong to my grandmother I always used to carry it everywhere. I used to play with it, my small store house!
Actually, there is a thing with me that I love to collect old belongings of people(of my family members).
Old letters, old diaries, papers, books, pens, boxes, cassettes, etc. or in simple words, the vintage items attract me (leave a sed-uctive mark over me!).
I am having a diary which belongs to the year 1987 and one more to the year 1992. I love stamps and postcards and I am planning to buy myself a walkman one day!
I just love to collect such stuffs.
Sometimes, I feel like, I am living in the new generation but my soul is still trapped in the classic era.
Whenever I hear English or hindi songs of 60s, 70s, 80s, the inner one starts longing for that time!
The music, the lyrics, trigger me to leave everything behind and just fall into the rhyme!
I sit with my twirling heart and tangled feelings and wait for all this to end while wishing for that time to come back align!
Note: I guess, the last part rhymes good, lol! (unintentionally).
