Good evening people ! I hope you are all doing well . I think we have almost reached the end of Navratri . so , in the previous blog we saw about the 1st four days of navratri and it’s significant colors . I will finish the rest of the days in the blog . Then, let’s start .

Day 5 of navratri :

It is specifically dedicated to the goddess Skandmata . She is the fifth avatar of mata devi . the name refers to the fact that she is the mother of skanda .  Skandmata's idol will be like Skanda sitting in the lap of his mother in her vehicle, Lion . Skandamata represents the affection and love of mothers .  It is said that wearing white on this day is auspicious and it refers to serenity , purity and peace .

Day 6 of navratri :

Sixth day is celebrated to worship devi katyayani . history says that , devi katayayani turns into this avatar to kill the evil forces in the universe . In this form only she kills the enemy mahishasura . She depicts boldness and courage as the warrior goddess .  The name of this form “ katyayani “ has its roots from the ashram , where the goddess stayed to do penance . literature and history says that she is one of the violent avatars of devi . The color associated with this day is “ red “ . which symbolizes fearlessness and courage and strength .

Day 7 of navratri :

This day of navratri is allotted to worship the fiercer avatar of devi , namely “kalaratri “ which means the dark night . She has a fearless gesture and a dark complexion . People believed that  kalaratri gives the power to  face the fear of darkness . This avatar has the vehicle as a donkey and has weapons in her hands . Devi had turned kalaratri into blue to destroy demons . so , the great color to use on this day is “ blue”  that depicts kala ratri and immense power .

Day 8 of navratri :

Devi “mahagauri” is celebrated on the 8th day of navratri . She represents happiness and peace , giving the energy for people to liberate . Unlike other avatars of devi , mahagauri has a bull as her vehicle . the pink color is associated for this day symbolising harmony , charm and kindness.

Day 9 of the navratri :

On the last or 9th day of navratri , the day is dedicated to “siddhidatri” . She is seated on a lotus providing  knowledge and ability to do things . the charming purple is used on this day .

 Happy navratri 🌟

Thanks for reading ! 💙
