Good morning guys . I hope you guys are enjoying these Navratri holidays safely and happily .so , to add to my Navratri series I have picked a topic that is the significance of each day of Navratri . I have already given an explanation of navratri in my previous navratri series blog , do check it out . In this , we will see what are the specialities and uniqueness of each blog . Let's get into it .
It is the period where people indulge in rituals , praying , meditating to gain energy and fasting too . like fasting , there are also colors that represent each day of navratri . People wear that specific color on that specific day to embrace goddesses and to represent solidarity and make the day auspicious . The avatars of goddess Durga are collectively called “navdurga “ . so , each avatar is celebrated each day with a specific color.
DAY 1 OF NAVRATRI :
It is called as SHAILAPUTRI . she is the daughter of raja himavan . she is called as the king of the mountains . in the world , shailaputri , “shaila” ,means like heights or also represents mountains highs and “putri” means “ daughter ” . the color associated is “yellow” that depicts happiness and brightness in our lives . people also says that her favourite flower is jasmine . she is the direct incarnation of devi parvati .
DAY 2 OF NAVRATRI :
It is called as brahmacharini . this form “ brahmacharini ” is to worship the penance version of parvati devi . she represents knowledge and wisdom . it is also said that , this day is perfect to mediate . the color of this day is “green" . green defines nature and growth associated with new beginnings . it brings growth and paves a way for new start ups in devotees life .
DAY 3 OF NAVRATRI :
the day 3 of navratri is celebrated to worship “CHANDRAGHANTA” to called the same . the word “chandra” means "moon" . she got this name after she married lord shiva and has a half-moon on her forehead . she sits on the tiger which points strength . grey color is associated with is day , representing zeal and showring bliss .
DAY 4 OF NAVRATRI :
The significance of this day is “KUSHMANDA” . kushmkanda refers to the lives on the earth and the power that created this whole universe . she has eight arms in this avatar holding many weapons . to celebrate this color , orange color is used to experience the feeling of warmth and makes cheerful.
