hey guys ! today i will explain you guys , how to write a letter to the editor of a newspaper , easily and professionally . letter to editorial is when we write a letter to the editor , stating an issue that has to be published on the newspaper so that it could get the people's attention or to get the solutions to solve it ! 

RULES :

• first you have to write the senders address in “from” and the receivers letter in “to”   like the normal letters . 
• under the heading “to” , you have mention the editor's name and the name of his organization or company 
• next you should include the date on which you write the editorial letter , below the “to” heading .
• then write the subject ; give the one line statement of your letter .like why did you write it or the gist of the letter .
• next is salutations : start with RESPECTED SIR/MADAM 
• then comes the body of the letter !
• in the first para , you have to introduce yourself and why you are writting this letter !
• in the 2nd para , explain the issue in detail.
• in the 3rd para , ask the request or help that you want to the editor . 
• then complete it by , your sign .

Respected Sir/ Mam,

Subject:  To publish the issue of rain water clogging in our area 

 Iam Nethra , committee head of our colony and I am writing this letter on behalf of nearly 500 families living in our colony who are suffering from rain water clogging which was created in the recent rains .

We know that last week most of the places in chennai were flooded as our area was also clogged by rain water . The issue here is very serious as the drain pipe has collapsed and the drain water is mixed with the rain and clogged on the roads . People can’t even walk or travel to buy some necessities or to go to work .  Residents are getting affected by malarial diseases and are admitted in the hospital .  The condition is not better because it’s not a place where people can live . It's highly dangerous to children and old people . We have complained a number of times to the city municipality but no action has been taken . 

We request you to publish this issue in the newspaper and help us to turn our area into a better place for living and to take the issue to the municipality faster .
