Covid - 19 really changed our lives upside down , didn't it ? We all got affected in many ways and things weren’t the way they used to be . The lockdown part was challenging indeed , turning the tables around  in our homes and workplaces .  In order to escape from depression or other mental crises people got indulged in several activities of their interests . Most of them found their way by cooking . 

People started cooking during lockdowns as fun and many recipes went viral like dalgona coffee , oreo cakes , one pot pasta etc . People got the craze with those trends and started trying out those recipes . The impact of those cooking were even people who didn't even step inside the kitchen started cooking and learned things . things changed , the system which most of the houses had that only women should cook got ruled off . men came forward and they started cooking during lockdowns for their families which was appreciable . This created an opportunity for the members in the house to understand the hard work and pain that every home maker faced before . It paved a way for a rise in equality that was lacking before in all homes . people started calling themselves Home Chefs and Home Bakers for the sole reason that cooking impacted their minds positively during the lockdown. They used cooking as a mean to get rid of their boredom and eventually made money by selling them. Back then, home cooked food was really appreciated hence, apprehending their business. What should be focused on, is how people’s ideologies changed during the lockdown. Making money by just sitting at home is something that we all want. And, the lockdown gave us ample time for that.

Ordering apps like swiggy and zomato were not there , so the only way to eat is by cooking . This developed a unique feel for cooking and a research says that the home cooking rate increased by 91% by the lockdown  as it was interesting and easy to get adapt .We realized the  real warmth and taste of our healthy home food which can’t beat any hotel foods .I would say , it really united the family together for once happily having a lunch or dinner cooked .People tried out many recipes , reached out to their mums and relatives for recipes . it really kept the minds engaged from shattering thoughts . To make a dish , they purchased ingredients , stood in the kitchen making it and uploaded pictures on social media , so cooking really kept us busy for at least while doing it .

Overall , cooking was a healthy influence on many of us during lockdown which kept us going in the right path .
