Hello readers, this is actually a real story where I had witnessed how things got changed within a day. As it was my cousin sister marriage and the fear of corona was still there . Cases were low but it's presence couldn't be ignored.
My cousin marriage was postponed many times because of pandemic but this time it was fixed in December. We were excited yet scared also. We had our grandparents at home who were very aged and their exposure to this disease can put them in trouble so yes we were scared . The functions were started at home , in initial days few of us were still following covid -19 appropriate behaviour. But as the guests started arriving, some of us stopped using masks which I think was the biggest mistake we have done. Actually not us ,the guests who came to our home have started cracking jokes on us like-
Haa, tumhe he hoga corona jo ye sab laga rahe ho, kaha he corona hume to nahi dikh raha and so on.
So somehow we all specially have started ignoring the masks and required protocol. Anyway that marriage happened happily. But after a week ( Less than a week) my grandfather started feeling feverish and cough, slowly he started feeling pain in chest while doing cough. We gave medicine for the night and then he got admitted to near by hospital on very next morning. There was a second mistake happened. The doctors have started treatment but not tested him for covid, so his pneumonia got worst.
On the other hand my father also started feeling fever and cough, he was so tired that he was not able to walk. He also tested positive for covid so my father got admitted in hospital and latter on when grand father tested positive for covid so, he also admitted in same hospital. Both were in I.C.U and we were so helpless , don't know what to do next and how things will improve.
Somehow we were calm and just praying to God and my father was recovering , he came out of I.C.U.after 5 days but my 'dada ji ' was not recovering his lungs were not working properly. The sad news was that though both father and son were in same hospital but they can't see eachother , it actually hurts when we think about.
And finally my father tested negative for corona and come back to home but my grandfather was critical and still was in I C.U.
Doctors had tried their level best but my grandfather was not able to make it and he left us. The biggest guilt is that we had not seen him for the one last time.
While writing this experience, tears are rolling over the cheeks but was in our destiny. I strongly believe that wherever my grandfather is….he must be in happy place.
