Hi! everyone.  Here I am back with my new article.  Hope you will like it . 

 Tradition is a group's belief and behaviours that are passed  down by generations to generation . Do you think guys it's true that tradition is obstacle to progress? To agree with the statement,  I feel that it is good to swim in water of tradition but to sink in them is  totally suicide.  

The nine letter words 'tradition' is cultural values past through generation have the power of either regression or progression there . If I turn the pages of history we all remember a dreadful tradition: sati system in which a widow is also thrown in the burning body of his husband . Do you think it's good?                      truely not .    she has a right to make decisions of her own life . She is a owner of her life,  her woman's life is not followed by her husband's life . Sati pratha was abolished by RAJA RAM MOHAN ROY a social reformer.  If this pratha be followed till now we will lost how many  great womens.  In this case tradition is an obstacle to progress.  

Further more , the other tradition are 1)child marriage –  ANY formal or  informal union between child under the age of 18 and an adult or other child . this results In making girls disproportionately affected by this practice.  This was abolished  in 1929 

2)  purdha system – this involves seclusion of women from public observations by means of concealing clothes including the veil . This practice is followed by Islamic soon followed by Hindus too. 

3)dowry system – This is a system in which durable goods , cash that brides family gives to the groom, his parents and relatives as a condition of marriage.  

4) gender inequality – this inequality is followed by some Indians right now also  in which girls and boys are differentiated.  some people feel that girls are lowerer than the boys and can't do things which boys can do . 

The other traditions like not to eat non veg on Thursday  , not to wash your clothes on Saturday,  when the comb falls down on floor than relatives has to come . do you believe in this all ! this is never ending list 

Traditions advocate patriarchy even in 2021. Tradition is a backbone of narrow mindedness which takes the shape of superstitions,  Homophobia and resistance to chains . Politicians are leveraging our traditional believes to foster bygorty and hatred.
