BL(boys love)dramas are always a fan favourite. It is so fun to watch two guys falling in love and fighting for their relationship and the cute, fluffy, romantic moments in between.
These are the top 10 must-watch bl dramas according to my opinion. They are mostly Thai dramas. Hope you can enjoy it and give me more bl dramas to watch.
10. DON'T SAY NO
Don't say no is an amazing bl drama telling the story of Leo and Fait. Leo and Fait grew up together and always liked each other. But Fait is never interested in a relationship and hurts Leo. This story revolves around their relationship struggles and Fait's traumas. This series has a lot of steamy scenes
9. BAD BUDDY
Bad buddy is an emotional roller coaster. This story depicts Ohm and Nanon two college students. Both of their families are enemies. Ohm and Nanon are supposed to be enemies from their birth. But hate gives away love and goes on for one heck of a journey. Both the lead actors did an amazing job of representing the inner turmoil of Ohm and Nanon.
8. LOVE IN THE AIR
Love in the air revolves around two college students, Sky and Rain, two university students. It shows how both of them find their soulmate in Payu and Prapai, two friends.
The plot is somewhat cliché and predictable but the chemistry between the lead couples is off the charts.
The 13-episode BL drama divides the story of the two couples into two parts with the first 7 episodes dedicated to Payu and Rain’s love story where Sky and Prapai are the second leads. The final 6 episodes deal with Prapai and Sky’s journey towards love with Payu and Rain in the background.
7. 2GETHER:THE SERIES
This is one of my all-time favourite. I love this series.
First, the plot of the show is excellent. When I say so, I really mean it. The plot is new and refreshed, and playfully peculiar from most romance dramas, at least from the ones I watched in the past. The character development is well portrayed, and the actual screenplay is well produced as you will/can see the finesse in the acting instructions, scene directions and the actual script paying off a good result.
Second of all, the plot and screenplay have been well executed by the two handsome male lead characters, particularly Bright, who plays as Sarawat in the drama. Attention was caught by Bright’s acting as the emotions he is portraying such as having feelings for Tine (played by Win) very pragmatic, and Hemingway represents his role as a cold yet, attractive chased boy in University seems to be naturally nuanced that it is really engaging to the au Not to forget, Win’s acting is good as well. The way he portrays the emotion of his character Tine, who experiences mixed feelings with the unexpected love from Sarawat is very well-enacted as well. Love the acting of both! Lastly, the idea of putting many handsome boys in the drama, from pairing the two attractive main lead characters and casting handsome male antagonists seems kinda smart because it’s another perfect way to earn more audience engagement. Bright has a captivatingly athletic appearance, and Win looks really cute and attracts you plan to watch this, I swear, YOU SHOULD! It’s a terrific show, and you’ll miss out on something good if you don’t watch this series. It’s the best thing that existed since quarantine I swear.
6 . STILL 2GETHER
This story follows Sarawat and Tine in their relationship and all their future drama. The plot is not strong as 2gether. But it is sweeter and lot of fluff too. Bright and Win did an excellent job showcasing the emotions and can feel the love between them and it is so beautiful to watch.
5. A TALE OF THOUSAND STARS
It will set such a standard that will make other shows try their very best to come somewhat closer to this Masterpiece. The relationship between the two main leads is outstanding. Their chemistry is God-tier. Their eyes speak so beautifully, I feel like I'm intruding on something so special when I watch them… and they give me so much feels. The location is beautiful and adds such scenic beauty to an already amazing story.
The other cast members have done an outstanding job too. Hats off to Tian's best friend Tul. Everyone should have a friend like him in our lives. Dr.Nam is one of a kind too. The two best friends are possibly the strongest shippers of the two (apart from us fans of course). All in all...they deserve all the praises . This is definitely a must-watch. 100% must-watch.
4. CHERRY BLOSSOMS AFTER WINTER
Cherry Blossoms after Winter is a Korean BL series about two childhood friends and their love.
The script is not much surprising and not well thought out. It made me cringe at some moments but the chemistry between the lead couple made up for it and it is so overloaded with the cuteness. It is amazing to watch if you don't want any dramas or a strong plot.
3. KINNPORSCHE
Kin Porsche The series, la forte is one of the amazing bl ever created. It gives me the drama, the forlornness, the torment, the hankering, the relinquishment, the intense, the thrill, the comedy, the luxuriousness, the feistiness, the process of invigorating this rainbow-colored romance, the maintaining of their morsel against all odds, the sensuality exuding from the lead pair, and even how creative the minds are of our creators, producers and directors. They level up their creativeness to the point that it is not the typical Thailand BL series we usually see and expect. I am already indulged with so many school-set-up lovebirds. This time, they turn it into a world of MAFIA, which is very unique and so uncommon to the eyes of the BL lovers or viewers. Very manly indeed! I almost see guns, manslaughter, betrayal, gambling, ruthless training of mobsters, everything from the street-corner drug trade to labor-union leadership, and the like. Despite of these circumstances, the lead pair did not fail me to fall in love so much with them. They are the light of this series' violent side. It's like giving me a sense of welcome and refreshing change. Verbal and non-verbal cues from the lead pair are very compelling or dominant. Watching them compensates every cell of my body or impulses every axons and dendrites of my brain. I can brutally feel and see all romantic moments from the lead pair where they really give their utmost best on every scene. They put their heart and soul to their own characters by portraying them and making it more relatable to the viewers. Kinn and Porsche are reminding us that these things we see from them in the series can be experienced as well in real life situation. Make me the happiest if one of these days, I get to see and hear that the two got together as a couple.
I love everything about how the creators turn the lead pair from having peripheral accord into literally superficial. I salute the lead pair who play Kinn and Porsche for imbuing with these personas.
I have no doubt at all that these two actors will have a promising career ahead of them, more projects and might as well looking forward to watching both of them for more seasons of KinnPorsche The Series in the near future.
2. THARNTYPE
That type is the best bl series I've ever watched.
Ignoring the constant turn-ons and cursing, the onscreen chemistry and love between our two main characters Tharn and Type sometimes invoke strong emotions within us that make us wish for a fairytale to come true in real life, our life. Though there are certain moments in the series where you wished things would be a whole lot better if our main character 1 would get some self-respect and main character 2 would learn some manners and self-discipline, the overall love portrayed by them being a gay couple is so warm that I personally have not seen even straight onscreen couples portray. But the character development of them both was not disappointing. It is so amazing watch all the emotional scenes and the lead actors have done it so perfectly that they made me cry so many times.
The lead so beautifully depicts all the inner demons he fight to accept his sexuality. And “Be mine” is one of the best songs I've ever heard in bl series.
That type season 2 depicts the story of Tharn and Type as they continues their relationship for the last 7 years.
This is just sweetness overload and the chemistry between the lead only got better in this season. Even though the storyline is much weaker than the first season it was made up with the cute and romantic moments. Several new couples were introduced and it was just basically love overload.
