I recently watched a movie named THE PERSUIT OF HAPPINESS.

In his book “ backwards and forwards” David Ball describes analysing and breaking down a story by approaching it backwards and by identifying the film's final climatic moments and working backwards this allows the screenwriter to make sure that all the dominoes are falling in the right direction.

It describes it by saying going forwards allows unpredictable possibilities but going backwards exposes that which is required when designing obstacle you are trying to hold and push back a character from the film's final destination.

Chris Gardner ( lead character) wants to become a stock broker but every obstacles  is about enduring the personal pain of his reality not matching the vision he has for his life.  

He cannot afford the childcare his son deserves. What was once an investment now a burden , what was once a marriage now falling apart . He liked to present himself professionally but circumstances won't let him. 

The amazing part is Chris never told his bosses that he is homeless and had to sleep in subway with his 5 year old son.

He could have made things easier by telling his bosses and having sympathy on his side but Chris earned every penny through his hard work and not many people can say that.

THE PERSUIT OF HAPPINESS 

It means not everybody happy when they born. It is upto them if they want they can get it.

To break down my favourite scene in the film so what is the entering emotional state well it's negative Chris and his son have been locked out of their hotel for not paying rent and our hero was trying to keep afloat in the worst situation, what is the character intension, he was trying to find somewhere for his son to sleep. His son was loosing faith in him and they are carrying all of their gear and they got stuck in the dangerous place at night.

This scene shows us that even in the darkest of the situation  he manages to keep his son spirit alive and not being fully damaged by the reality of the circumstances. He plays a game to encourage his son to use his imagination , they hunt and find a cave and they lock themselves in the public bathroom so is the objective achieved? Externally yes they found a place to sleep but internally our hero had to suffer through lots of mental pain. 

Is is very inspiring movie . And i highly recommend everyone to watch it atleast one time .
