HOW TO BOOST SELF-CONFIDENCE  

Self confidence is an integral part of a person, it is attitude or the set of skills and abilities which helps us trust ourselves and have a sense of control on ourselves. If a person is confident then he is able to do a set of tasks easily.  

The importance of self confidence shouldn't be underestimated, as it is linked to a person's happiness, pride and motivation.

IMPORTANCE OF SELF CONFIDENCE

There are numerous advantages of being self confident. Some of them are listed below -

1) Being at your best- if a person feels confident about himself then he can overcome any sort of difficulty in his life and become successful in his life.

2) Low stress level - when you are confident you perform up to your potential and that's what counts the most even when you are under pressure and it can help you reduce your stress.

3) Improved motivation - if a person doesn't have self confidence they may feel that it is impossible to achieve their goals or dreams. However if a person is self confident it will help them reach their goal with a sense of accomplishment.

4) Less fear and anxiety - with self confidence one can avoid anxiety, break out the cycle of overthinking and embrace their full potential.

5) Improved relations - having better self confidence improves a person's social interactions and thus improving the social relation.

6) Having a positive attitude - when one feels confident about themselves they believe to have a meaningful life.

7) Being happier - confident people tend to be happier and self satisfied with their lives.

SIGNS OF LOW SELF CONFIDENCE

A person with low self confidence has negative thoughts about their worth. Some common signs of having low self confidence are -

1) feeling unloved and unwanted

2) not able to deal with life problems

3) comparing with others

4) low levels of motivation  

5) difficulty in socializing

6) fear of failure

7) mixed up feelings of anxiety or stress

8) not taking up opportunities  

TIPS FOR BUILDING SELF CONFIDENCE  

Confidence can be tough to build up but if someone makes a routine and follows some special ways they can gain self confidence fast.

1) Set some goals - Goals help us stay focused in our life without getting deviated towards any distraction.

2) Stop comparing yourself to others - Someone can possess some quality which you don't have, but that doesn't make you weaker than them. You might have qualities they don't possess. Stop comparing and stay focused.

3) Surround yourself with positive people - If we are surrounded with positive people then their influence can change anyone's life, Positive people give positive vibes.

4) Take care of yourself - You shouldn't be stressed about what others are thinking about you. Just be yourself, focus on your goals.

5) Face your fear - Fears can change a person's mentality, they may restrain from taking risks and which will in return restrain them from exploring their talents. Stop fearing, take risks and it would be worth it.

6) Think positive - Negative thoughts can kill a person's will to do something extra ordinary. We should be positive before doing any sort of work.

7) Eliminate negative thoughts - Negative thoughts of failure can stop your progress. So, eliminate negative thoughts and work on yourself.

8) Work on yourself - It doesn't only mean educating yourself, but all round improvement of oneself. Exercises can bring a confidence from within.

9) Identifying talents - Explore whatever opportunities you have. You can find out your talents from yourself if you explore yourself and extend your limits.

10) Take pride in yourself - Look at whatever you have achieved and feel confident that you can achieve more than whatever you have done yet now.

Apart from all these what matters is cultivating a positive attitude, dealing with emotions, self care and taking risk. If a person possess all the above qualities or can cultivate these qualities within themselves they can boost self confidence among themselves. All that matters is having a will to gain something in life, if a person has will to achieve something then they will have to boost self confidence to take risk and overcome fear.
