In the introductory paragraph of this blog am glad to have discussed about Geography of Andaman & Nicobar Islands including the global impact of physiography, geomorphology biogeography of Andaman & Nicobar Islands at a glance.

Despite being a part of India Andaman and Nicobar Islands has wonderful hub of five hundred and seventy-two small islands which revolves around the global context.

Geographically the islands has a diverse landscapes of Andaman-Nicobar Archipelago comprised of three-hundred and twenty-five islands belonging to an Indian Territory. A submerged mountainous terrain is situated on its southern edge.

Andaman and Nicobar Archipelago is a emerging part of lengthy ridge ranging from Arkan- Yoma Range located in the western edge of Myanmar in the north to southern edge of Sumatra.

From the eastern edge the Archipelago a breathtaking view of Andaman sea has been perceived while Bay of Bengal is situated on the western part embracing arc stretching site of Nicobar Islands.

A Glimpse of glorious view has been perceived from the southern escarpment of Andaman Nicobar islands i.e. Port Blair which is the territorial capital of the adorable islands.

Physiographically, the Ten Degree Channel constitutes a wide submarine channel extended to the network of ten degree parallel to the north latitude between the Car Nicobar & Little Andaman Islands, this channel is recognised as the major physiographic division of the total geographical area of the islands. 

Incredibly Andaman islands has comprised of nearly more than a hub of three hundred groups of islands and rest of the nineteen islands are notable ones that belongs to the group of Nicobar Groups while the overall landscape has consist of numerous small islands.

Great Adaman Islands covers a hub of six groups of small islands such as Cleugh Passage Groups include landfall island, East & West islands, while one the other hand the Aerial Bay Islands have a hub of three islands - Smith Island, Pocock Island, Talte Island.  Stewart Sound Group comprised of group of six Islands include - Sound Island, Swamp Island, Stewart Island, Curlew Island, Aves Island and Karlo Island. In the Interview group a hub of  five islands contains - Interview Island, Anderson Island, Muga Island, South Reef Island & Bennett Island. Middle Andaman Islands and Baratang Island whereas, East Baratang Group has a group another five islands include - Long Island, Straight Island, North Passage Island, Colebrooke Island, Porlob Island. 

In addition to express a hub of numerous small islands the The West Baratang Island constitutes five islands contains - Bluff Island, Spike Island, Talaikacha Island,  Boning & Belle Island nevertheless in the south Andaman comprised of Naiper Bay Islands - James & Kyd Islands Port Medeows Islands , Defence Island -  Defence & Clyde Island and Port Blair Islands - Port Blair comprises Chatham, Garacharma, Ross,  Snake & Viper Islands. 

Rutland Island has two groups of islands namely - Rutland & Cinque Islands while contrary to this Lybrinth Group encompasses Tarmugli & Twin Islands along with Sister Islands - East & West Sister Islands. 

Although, Little Island Group and The Brothers - North & South Brother Island associated with Button, East Volcano & The Sentinel Islands are being a part of Riechi Archipelago.

By evaluating the Nicobar Islands has been divided on the basis of three small groups of islands - North(Car Nicobar & Bittimalv Islands), Central( Chowra, Luroo, Bumpuka, Katchal, Camorta, Nancowry & Trinket etc & South Island comprises Great Nicobar & Little Island are the remarkable islands.
