I want a quote from a reel on social media which would have made sense if I did a video on this. It's basically what's happening in this world. There are lots of things happening in the world. Good, bad, ugly and I don't want to go into too many details.
It is getting sick and scary because of the news that we come across and also things we see on social media where everything has to be hateful and threatening. Too much negativity all around. Disrespect and abuse in the name of criticism, twisting and turning every statement into a hate speech or into something political. I am sick of it, all of it. I am actually feeling sick at the moment because of the weather but let's not divert the attention.
I might not be giving too many insights about what I feel and there wouldn't be too many detailed explanations because one, I don't know it well enough and two, I don't want to delve deeper. Either people are to sensitive and get offended or they are looking for reasons to get offended or to lash out at someone. I think it is the latter.
We can't control human feelings and they can't control how we are supposed to make them feel. Do they want to be pleased? Doesn't happen always. There will always be people judging you, no matter how hard you try and fit into their concept of a human. There is an issue with reacting and not reacting. If you don't speak about what is happening in the world, you will be labelled heartless and unconcerned and if you react, you will be labelled a show-off, a publicity stunt.
If you react to an eve-teaser or intruding journalists, you are arrogant and if you keep mum, you are a victim. Every positive interaction is turned into negative. An actor pulling a co-star's leg in an interview, what I see is good vibes between the actors but the reaction of some is turned into religion. I mean, what the h#l! is wrong with the people?
Since you know what is happening in the world, we see comments about it on every celebrities and influencer's profiles trying to guilt-trip with graphic details. When they are celebrating a child's birth, this is what the sadists. I mean, sure it is a concern and needs to be addressed but the way it is done makes no sense at all. People are sick, when social media is supposed to be a tool of convenience, it is turning out to be the most inconvenient tool. Full of negativity, and it gives the comfort of harassing someone without getting punched for it. Only if we could do that…
Well, you can't expect to check something sensible in the comment section because you won't. It is all abuse and shaming and bullying and justifying the crime while criticising doing the right thing. The perpetrator or the one who is at fault gets justified depending on who they are whereas the victim (strong word) gets bullied and criticised (Again, depending on who it is).
The news we come across even if we don't look for it is getting scary knowing that it happened near and the worst part is people get away with such crimes. Nowhere is safe, I know. It is how you survive against all odds and thrive.
