The Rain In The Weekend

The blog starts with one simple question: Do you like rain? Well I am sure most of you love the rain. Well I don't. Yes you heard it right. I hate rain. Not even a little. Probably the only time I like rain is when I am home; not stuck under a roof because of the same.

And it has been raining heavily since Friday and I hate it. I mean, we all hate it because enjoying rain from home lasts only when it's time to go for work or class or any other purpose. And moreover, it's the pandemic and so one has to be extra cautious while travelling in public transport and otherwise.

Even the drizzle itself irks me as I get wet and the only place I prefer getting wet is while under a shower. I hated rain since college especially the heavy ones where we had to go out for our purpose and even an umbrella isn't that helpful and part of you will certainly get wet. I hate it when I wanted to go home but stuck under the roof of some mall or a store because of the rain and you didn't have an umbrella. You also had to be careful with your devices as it might not be waterproof for sure.

If I didn't have to go anywhere during the rain, it is fine. I would enjoy it along with a cup of hot tea which I am sipping as I write while it is still raining outside. But otherwise, when you had to go and can't afford to miss the class because of the rain, and not able to return because of the rain and have to wait, it is annoying. I really hate it!

The weekend itself was slightly disorganised and out of control in a way because of the rain. It all started on a Friday morning when it was raining and I had to go for my class, but then called for an auto to avoid travelling by bus in this rain and I reached 500 metres away from my institute and I had to walk when it was still drizzling and I didn't want to use the umbrella in spite of having one as it was a short walk. On Saturday while going for a walk because it was a cooler climate but then slowly it started drizzling and I walked quickly. But the pace of the drizzle increased and I began running and the more I increased the speed, the heavier it rained. I waited under the roof of a store for a while partly drenched including my glasses without which I cannot see and there wasn't a point in wiping my glasses with my wet t shirt. And I was also worried about my phone getting wet and I covered the pocket tightly. When it reduced, I ran across the lane which was a struggle especially with the glasses and I couldn't see anything and I almost got chased by a dog which was luckily behind the gate.

I was exhausted while running and managed to reach quickly and wondered if I felt sick and took a paracetamol just in case. It rained while I freshen up yet again. Sunday was no different though I stayed indoors. The only trouble was with the food delivery during the rain.

So that's how the weekend went, the heavy rain which isn't that enjoyable to be honest. It makes me feel uneasy.

So that's all for the blog. Let me know in comments about your experience with the rain whether you like it or not.
