This blogpost is dedicated to my sweet sister. If you ask me Why? I will in turn ask Why not?
I have a sister who is three years younger than me. Just like me, she is also preparing to go abroad for higher studies. The last time I saw her was four months before I left the country; couldn't say goodbye right before I was leaving. Though we video call on a regular basis picking on each other as we do always in person.
Just like every other sibling, we annoy each other, we have fun and we fight a lot. Now talking about fights, there are two kinds of fights; the Fun One which both of us enjoy to the fullest without going overboard. Then there's the Not-So Fun One which neither of us likes and that can turn really ugly. So we avoid letting that happen but again that isn't always in our control.
In spite of all these fights and annoyance, we can't stay mad at each other for too long for should I say, we don't allow each other to stay mad for too long.
For instance, we might have had a conflict on the call and I might tell myself that I am not going to speak to her and will only talk when there's a need. Later, when I check my phone, I get a message from my sister posting a pic with silly faces or using snapchat filters or even a random reel of herself, and I will be like ‘I can’t stay mad at that face.'
Similarly when the tables are turned, I don't make an effort but I can make it happen. Only she has to look at me, boom! If we were having a fight and while she tried to convey an information with a serious face, I just smile and she lashes out at me saying, ‘You don’t let me stay made at you.'
That's the good part I believe, because by seeing each other's faces we can't stay mad for long. She's still got the goofiness in her but it differs on the basis of the surroundings; be it with family, friends or anyone.
It is hard to believe when I see people whom I saw when they were kids are married or even completed college. My sister is one of them. Yes, she finished college and is moving abroad for higher studies. I still can't believe she's above twenty and I refuse to see her as a grown up woman. She's still my annoying little sister. Her ABC comprises of this:
So yes, that's all I want to speak about my sister. She's lame but lovable and I wish her all the very best. And I miss her when I see her. And I hope to see her soon enough.
So, if you are reading this which I know you are after seeing the title and hence the clickbait.
