Going Out For A Purpose

It's almost the end of the month and I still haven't written about the trip I went on my birthday weekend which (as mentioned before) wasn't fully satisfied and there was a part of me still delving deeper on it even after being home about it. I am feeling better now. There is no longer that lingering feeling anymore. Now I need to focus on work and get my life straight and goals and ambitions prioritised. I will talk about the trip in my next blog, certainly by the end of the month.

I went out today not because I wanted to but I had some errands to run. I thought I wouldn't go because I was also feeling a bit unwell. But I am glad I went out today because I did have a good time. The weather was good; not too hot and so I was outdoors. The food and the drinks I ordered tasted good as well. Overall, it was a good outing. The reason is that there was a purpose. I like going out on my own chilling by myself, cafe-hopping, walking across the shopping centers, checking out people, and eating but I can't keep doing it because it is too expensive.

Going out simply is a waste of time and money and you don't have to buy anything but you force yourself to buy food and drinks because you are outside. I am making it a point to no more buying for the sake of buying and also because you are out. You can still go out and not buy anything.

Sometimes, going out simply isn't that fun either even if you do things you like such as cafe-hopping, window shopping, checking out people, and whatnot because that isn't the ultimate purpose. Sure, it is fun to go out but if you have nothing to do, it is a waste of time and you don't want to waste your time.

I wish I could go to University occasionally so I can use the library and the gym which is free for students but because it is in a different city, I can't keep travelling always and train tickets are really expensive. I could use the travel fare for a monthly membership instead of paying that weekly. Also, now that I have finished the course, there is simply no reason to go and waste your time. Having said that, the times I went in the last months for a seminar, a meeting and returning a book, it all felt purposeful and so the other activities such as cafe-hopping, window shopping and seeing people was fun.

I didn't have a purpose today apart from purchasing and handing in my CV for a temporary job vacancy but I ended up giving it to three other companies and the purchase was good. It felt good actually and you don't always feel good.

I also have to go tomorrow but I hope I don't exploit it and have a good time tomorrow; there is a purpose. I need to keep fulfilling my purpose or else staying at home alone would make me mad.

That's all for now, thank you so much for reading. I will see you in the next one.
