Time is the most expensive commodity as we grow older and we can't afford to miss out on things that don't matter much. But then you want to do a lot of things and don't really have enough time. So it is all about allocating time for everything. Be it your work, workout or leisure time, and whatnot. And the time slot given for each work must be given for that one only.
Having said that, the more you find time to work, it is also equally important to find time to rest. And sleep is also very important. Which I almost struggled with in the past week because I was getting up much earlier and going to bed almost late but then wouldn't fall asleep by midnight. However, I managed to get some good sleep this weekend, especially yesterday.
This blogpost isn't about sleep but finding time to do NOTHING. Yes, you heard it right. Not any work or study, or even a leisure-related thing or even anything like watching movies or series or something like that. How often do we do nothing? It is all the time for lazy people. But I am not saying to do anything for a whole day or even an hour. It is another sort of relaxation, where at least for a little while you don't pick up your phone, or even listen to music. Just sit on a park bench for a while or stand in your backyard for a while and do nothing.
Somewhere quieter, someplace more relaxing than the other. Also, make sure you aren't robbed despite being in the zone. Always be aware of the reality while being in the zone of doing nothing. No phone, no listening to music, no texting, nothing. Or simply walking without thinking out loud about the past, present, and future. At least for a little while, for up to twenty minutes. It can also be in your room. No distractions at least for a little while. But life doesn't allow that at times, does it? But then, you have to find time for it. To refresh, to recharge, to reset.
Sure, we don't want to waste time, and every minute matters to you. But then health is wealth. Be it physically, mentally, and emotionally. I want to go for walks every day, be it morning, evening, or both. The weather doesn't permit it sometimes. Assumed as an introvert, people think I like to sit inside my room always. Well, I lose my mind if I don't get out of the house, not necessarily for an outing but for a walk or even to buy milk from the nearby store.
You don't always feel good and relaxed when you step out for a walk but then, that's life. You don't always get to have the same taste of coffee you drink every day or the pizza you buy from a regular store, and that's completely fine.
Well, March is so far so fine I guess. I know I can do better. Yesterday was a good day and I try and make the most out of every day, every hour, every minute, and every second.
That's all for now. Thank you so much for reading. I will see you in the next one.
