It is the first Sunday of November; a week is ending today. Because it was a day off, I thought of going out and have lunch in a restaurant rather than ordering and eating at home. The moment I stepped out from the house, I realised why I don't go out that often other than the pandemic. It is too hot to go out and can also be rainy but it's the former in case of today. 

Ever since I shifted to the city, I didn't go out much rather than classes or for purchases, and not really for just chilling. The initial reasons being the pandemic and for me to settle down. But once I was ready to chill, the second wave hit by storm and we were forced to stay indoors. And the times I have tried to go out, it was like really hot and humid and while I return home, it would start raining. 

People assume that I don't like to go out and prefer staying indoors which is not true. I go out a lot when I was in Bangalore which clearly doesn't mean I go and party and drunk. I don't do any of it. I just walk around at night after dinner, stroll around malls during the holidays, eat at restaurants and all that and so on which is fun even though I do it alone most of the time. And I happened to do the same when I went in July; walking around at night, strolling around, eating at restaurants all of it were quite vibrant even under the protocols and I enjoyed it a lot.

I thought I would do the same here in Kochi  but just couldn't because of the weather. When I thought of walking around, I returned home drenched. I don't eat at restaurants as I used to before. I order through the apps and eat them at home. To get some cool air, I go to the terrace and listen to music. I do listen to music while walking around when I was in Bangalore but in Kochi, I don't do any of it even if I am walking for too long. 

Apart from the weather alone, I think another reason could be those fun and vibrant places are little too far from where I stay and also it feels dull while walking towards that place. The pandemic is also another reason where many shops and restaurants aren't functioning as it used to and the vibes are very minimal. 

So for the time being, I am happy being at home and ordering food from outside and spending time with Prime. Maybe once in a while, I should go out for fun other than classes and grocery purchase. But then, it is too hot or it would be raining. No complaints!
