A Disastrous Trip To London For Christmas

In my previous blog, I have mentioned about how the month of December was declining and not in any way exciting at all and you are feeling more and more distraught.

This trip to London was the one hope of redeeming my sanity. In the sense, of easing myself and relax myself amidst all the stress and worry I have been undergoing. And did it work? No, it did not. It became the opposite. Instead of feeling relaxed, I was feeling exhausted after the trip and it felt like there was no meaning at all. Christmas vibes is supposed to excite me or bring joy in me or at least make me feel hopeful and did that happen, no it did not. It was entirely ruined.

This was my fifth trip to London and hopefully not my last one (but you never know) and in every trip there is always something to learn in terms of preparation and we try improving in the next one. And when I thought I was prepared enough to deal with it irrespective of it. I had enough time to spend and Christmas in London is not fun until it is night with the lights and so I have to go to markets and other shops which had different vibes but getting there was a challenge. Especially with the misleading GPS at times and the drizzle rain which was unbearable and I felt my body temperature heating up to an extent.

I went to Winter Wonderland later in the afternoon hoping to stay there till the dark and then step out to see the lights and other attractions before leaving. The drizzle rain is always a hindrance and I was feeling hungry but my stomach felt funny and on top of that, my left foot was aching like h#ll. I did eat and decided to go and see the lights when I realised I had to use the bathroom and I had to find a shop that lets me use it and it was not good. A whole amount of time was gone while at the bathroom.

I checked the time to see that my bus leaves in 45 minutes and I am 40 minutes away from the bus station (according to the GPS) but I could have reached in 30 minutes because I have long legs and I walk fast but it wasn't the case. Because my left foot began to ache terribly that I was limping all the way. I didn't see much of what I wanted to because of an upset stomach and a sprained foot. On top of that, I got robbed by a pregnant woman which was partly my fault because I shouldn't stopped by her. It bugged me for two days wondering how to get back at her but you can't. (Robbed as in she said she will give change but the moment I took out the note, she took that and walked away. I was too shocked to react and when I realised it, she was gone. nothing you can do about it. Moral of the story: Never take out your wallet in front of strangers unless it is a cashier or a barista.)

I luckily reached on time but I was exhausted to be devastated and disappointed because I knew it was and I had to wait for three hours to get back and another one hour to get back home and it took longer than the usual time to walk back home from the stop because I was limping and I had no choice. End of the Day. End of the Trip.

I hated the fact that the trip didn't come out the way I expected it to. I am feeling off not because of this all but throughout it is and I am trying to cope with it. Is my leg better now? No, it hurts even worse while walking and I certainly have to show a doctor. My stomach is kind of fine, not entirely. Am I still feeling remorseful? I am okay now but not feeling positive.
