Hi everyone,

In today's blog we are going to know about some facts that are caused by makeup.

Many people's lives include makeup on a regular basis. With the use of eyeshadow, lipstick, and other cosmetics, you may accentuate your natural characteristics and produce real works of art. It might increase your confidence if you have acne, uneven skin, pores, or any other skin issue by hiding them. However, a lot of people are concerned about how makeup affects skin and whether it might harm it. They fear that excessive cosmetic use will have a negative impact on your appearance.

The truth is that a lot of different things can alter how makeup behaves on your skin. Makeup can be just acceptable as long as you choose products designed for your skin type, are vigilant about removing it correctly, and adhere to a skincare routine that is right for you. There are, however, a few ways in which it can also harm your skin.

Here is what you need to know about the negative effects makeup can have on your skin and the steps that you can take to avoid them.

NEGATIVE EFFECTS:

If you select the wrong type of makeup for your skin or you are not careful about how you apply or remove it, you can see a variety of different negative effects, such as:

Obstructed pores: Acne can result from wearing makeup too long and not removing it correctly, which can clog your pores. With some cosmetics compounds, the same phenomenon can occur. Your skin may become irritated and develop bumps as a result.

Untimely ageing: Wrinkles can develop if you don't take off your makeup before night. Applying makeup without first doing your skincare routine might result in UV damage and hence, premature ageing. The SPF in makeup products is insufficient to adequately protect your skin from the sun's harmful rays and the ageing effects they can have.

Oiliness or dryness: Makeup can either make your skin even more dry or even more greasy, depending on your skin type. This is due to the fact that improper makeup removal techniques or improper foundation application can deplete your skin of its natural oils, hinder the removal of dead skin cells, and impede cell turnover.

Eye infections: Even though so many of us enjoy applying makeup to our eyes, we often forget how delicate the area around our eyes is. If too much eye makeup gets in our eyes, it might potentially harm our eyes. Infections can result from using eye makeup that contains a lot of chemicals. Eye discomfort can result from using too much eyeliner or mascara.

Acne: One of the most typical issues that women have is acne. It is a frequent adverse effect of excessive cosmetics use. Applying makeup continuously and preventing your skin from breathing might clog your skin pores. Acne, whiteheads, and other skin issues are afterwards caused by this.

Headache: Some cosmetics that we use contain chemicals such as  Diazolidinyl urea, these release formaldehyde in the skin which can lead to a lot of problems like headache, irritation. They can also damage the membrane of the mucus. If you feel anything like a headache or an irritation, stop using makeup for a few days.

Pigmentation: Wondering why, despite all of your care, your skin is becoming darker and more pigmented? Although you may be pampering your skin with moisturisers and sunscreens, did you realise that these products can also cause skin discoloration? Many of these cosmetic products contain chemicals that might harm your skin permanently.

HOW TO PREVENT:

Make sure to choose your cosmetic items sensibly if you want to avoid damaging your skin. Avoid using products that are laden with chemicals that might eventually hurt your skin. Additionally, if you enjoy wearing makeup every day, make sure to clean it up before bed. Avoid using it on days when you don't absolutely need to and allow your skin to breathe. It is better to maintain a  skincare routine with herbal and organic products.
